This was hands down the funniest reaction to Jacob's "imprinting" scene that I've seen so far. You can literally see the moment when you realize exactly what's happening 😂🤣 Thanks Mel!
I think that's my favorit part about watching people do reactions to the Twilight sage. Seeing the pression on the youtubers face when they realize Jacob is imprinting.
I literally shrieked with laughter at your reaction to the imprinting 🤣 I’ll never forget teenage-me throwing the book across the room in anger at that part. I liked Jacob a lot and I could never forgive the author for doing him so dirty 🤣
I would give anything to know Taylors reaction when he found out how he was going to have to act. Its hilarious now honestly. I think Stephanie Meyer is a psychopath but I will love her crazy ass forever for all the fun I have had with these characters all these years.
its always so funny to see ppl react to the whole imprinting situation. I think in the dvd there's a deleted scene when Edward comes out of the delivery room sees Jacob and realizes he imprinted and hits him 😂
"Who thought this was a good idea?" The author. Btw, you gotta love the fact that Bella looked like a corpse before she got changed, and after she literally DIED and was turned, we come back and she has a full glow up with fake lashes, eyeshadow, lipstick, and a blowout. Rotflmao!! 🤣🤣🤣
Because if you turn into a vampire your looks are enhanced extremely because everything is being healed and your body is at its perfect no matter what. I mean its explained in the books. Its why vampires are alluring to humans. They are "perfect" looking. But yea, giving her makeup doesn't make sense, i guess its supposed to be "natural" and not actually makeup. Eyeshadow may be dumb thou, they could have left that out. Lashes could be explained that lashes become thicker as a vampire because that signifies a healthy beautiful person.
I hollered when Mel came to the realization on Jacob imprinting on the baby. I rewind like a million times. Jacob romanticized imprinting throughout the entire series so naturally everyone thinks it’s weird. In the books, we were floored.
My theory: Stephanie Meyer delivered that chapter to her editor, and after reading it, horrified, instead of doing all their markups all they wrote at the top was "There are no words for this" and handed it back to be completely redone from scratch. But instead, Meyer took that as a chapter title suggestion and assumed that no markups meant the editor thought it was perfect, and thus it got published in all its nightmarish glory. :-D
I laughed for a good five minutes at your reaction to the imprinting scene!! THAT WAS PRICELESS. But yes they had him imprint on a baby and didn’t think how kinda pedophilic/ grooming that would be since he’s basically gonna wait until she’s older to be together. I hated it in the books they made his character trash with that
I always had questions. If he was attracted to one of Bellas eggs, he should have been equally attracted to Edward the while time 2. As a survivor of csa, I got to that part in the boom as a teen, and could not finish the book. It's so disgusting. And the fact the writer thought it was OK...
@@iciajay6891 right? And it’s also not like Bella has the same eggs in her for a year for Jacob to be so obsessed with her for a year. And he should have been attracted to Edward to. It’s makes no sense at all. I’m also sorry you went through that as a child. It’s a damn shame and it’s happened to a few people close to me. I hope your doing well now
@@hopet7090 'it’s also not like Bella has the same eggs in her for a year' That's exactly how human biology works? AFAB children are born with all the eggs they'll ever have. You're not wrong though, Jacob should be attracted to Edward too, unless he is and that's why he's so aggressive towards Edward
@@krisssmith477 well that goes to show how the education system in the south has failed us cause I literally did not know that. I always thought we would have new eggs after so many menstrual cycles
@@hopet7090 I'm sorry to hear that and unfortunately not. It's part of why AFAB women go through Menopause, their hormones change because they run out of eggs and cannot get pregnant anymore
I LOVE the way you edit yourself into the movie, it's my favorite please never stop. Also, I see what you did with the "like, comment, subscribe" zoom-out, that was cool and I like that too! Thought my computer was messing up for a second, lol.
This may be my most anticipated series from Mel aside from the scream series. These are by far my favorite videos from him. Absolutely hilarious. Especially because this series is so messy. I live watching Mel live through the cringe and realizing how emotionally damaged we were back then. Cause we were really out here wanting an Edward/Jacob. Tho ironically Edward becomes the voice of reason towards the end 🤣
It's especially cathartic to those of us who were dudes back then and trying to wrap our heads around why everyone wanted boyfriends like these creepy, emotionally manipulative jerks like Edward and Jacob (though you're right, Edward did seem to mature a bit by the end). I just remember reading the books myself at 16-17 and thinking "Wtf is this how all girls think??" I read Pride and Prejudice too and just came to the conclusion that I didn't understand girls at all. XD I think Twilight parallels the same reasons guys fantasize about having super powers. It's a power fantasy innate to humans. Maybe just like an immature male power fantasy gravitates towards impressing women with feats of strength and heroism, and having women fight and compete for his attention, female power fantasy gravitates towards impressing men with their identity and simply "who you are," and having men fight and compete for her attention. I mean why does every chick in Gotham City want to bang Batman for some reason? Same writer's logic driving every dude in Forks to want to bang Bella for some reason, right? Flash forward to today, I'm 31 and have a wife and 3 kids, and a lot of it makes sense now in a way. The power fantasies that captivate teenagers and provide escapism for adults are two sides of the same coin, in both "feminine" and "masculine" genres. They're all fun to enjoy, but the more you grow and mature, you realize that neither one is realistic, and that imitating neither Bella Swan's extreme passiveness nor Bruce Wayne's extreme aggressiveness will actually gain you lasting romantic relationships. I met my wife when I had fruit snacks on the shuttle bus, she asked me for one, and I gave her the whole bag. :-) As long as we can separate our fantasies from reality, I think shows like Twilight and Batman etc. are pretty harmless. Except Renesmee. She's the stuff of nightmare fuel and my eyes are still bleeding from like a decade ago. XD
@@SomeRU-vidTraveler I see where you going with this. But still to this day,Bella just annoyed me to no end. Why Jacob never chose Leah is Beyond me(there was chemistry no enough, but anyone could see it)you have those beautiful woman, that's not only very strong willed,it's very supportive despite all the heartache thrown her way and you just ignore the fact, maybe 🤔 She's waiting for you say something that's worth her time. It's just very disheartening, that the writers and directors choose to go this route on imprinting for renesmae. Now if they would've pushed Jacob/Leah together than Edward/Bella than that pair had kids(than those individuals renesmae and whoever imprinted on themselves years later) I think it would've made their pack Very strong and unparalleled to anyone's else's union. However we will never know now..
Mrs. Cullen is played by Elizabeth Reaser. And if you'd like to see more of her, she's in the Handmaid's Tale and Haunting of Hill House. Among numerous other roles.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 IM HOLLARING right now at this man’s reaction to Jacob imprinting on the cgi baby. The zoom in added with the background music was priceless 💀 💀
Watching people react to the imprinting is always a kick plus no one ever seems to notice when the wolves are on the beach that there is a wolf playing with a child he imprinted on
🤣 your reactions to these movies are HILARIOUS!!!! Your reaction to the CGI baby was spot on, plus the freak out over Jacob imprinting on Renesme was perfection.
I was holding my breath, waiting for it to sink in what had happened, and then I about died when you started laughing. Great reaction. I read these books before the movies came out because I was asked to write a review, and the imprint in the book made me bust out laughing the exact same way. Stephanie Meyer is a crazy person.
If I remember from the books the thing about imprinting is its not like he finds a baby sexually attractive. Imprinting is more of a soul connection, like soul mates, and it's not something either of them can control. He didn't look at the baby and fall in love he felt the connection and once it's recognized it doesn't just go away. They more used it as a way to get around the treaty rules between the Cullens and the pack. And the baby is cgi 1 because her growth is extremely quick and they wanted her to look the same at all stages and 2 because they wanted her eyes to be special so they used cgi to make them how they wanted.
love your edits Mello. the toothpaste part, the chicken scene, everytime you put yourself in the scene. I was dyin most of this video, turned the most boring movie into a great reaction video.
I have been waiting for SO long to see your reaction to the imprint scene! YOU DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Every Twilight reaction you did, I kept thinking to myself, OH, just wait!! OMG!! I literally had to pause the video to write this...I am still laughing!!!! Melo, you are awesome and my favorite movie companion!!
Your reaction to Jacob imprinting on the baby had me rolling.... best react ever haha.... I swear I die every time the mom pops up cause all I hear is Heyyyyyyy Miz Weasley 😂😂😂
After you had me laughing through the whole video, I knew your reaction to the imprinting would not disappoint. Thanks for the laughs, you've made my day with this one!
In the books she hated the smell of blood she would faint. But it was because of the baby that she was able to drink blood. Nd it was the baby that constantly wanted Jacob around therefore she did too.
I nearly died when I saw your reaction to Jacob imprinting on the baby lmaooo I remember when I first read about it in the books when I was younger, I didn't think too much of it because I didn't find it to be a sexual or romantic thing (I was very naive back then). but now that I have more life experience, it is definitely super creepy and has serious grooming vibes. you'll find out more about why the baby is CGI in the next movie but I just have to say that I've enjoyed your reactions to these films so much and I'm super sad that they're coming to an end ❤️
This series has cemented you as my favorite movie reactor! You have a great sense of humor and it seems like you really have fun with the editing too. Keep up the great work!
the scene when bella walk down the aisle and starts panicking but everything changes when she sees edward makes more sense im the books and kristen does a wonderful job portraying bella in this scene
3:33 it’s crazy because her and Edward only dated like 5 months then he left in the second movie for 6 so they have barley been together for that long.
Watching you go through the five stages of grief over the imprinting scene was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. As for the baby being CGI - don’t look up the animatronic baby they almost used. It will haunt you for the rest of your life.
"DAMMN" sent me! Your perspective is so fun with this movie series--despite you treating it with all the respect it deserves (none, ha), you're really along for the ride. Given that the book series was done two(?) years before the movies were done, everyone who read the books (target audience) knew everything that was coming. The "birth" sequence was unexpectedly visceral, even if the book was borderline horror during it. I remember being excited for the next half.
Legit had to pause and cry laugh weeze at the imprinting for a good 5 minutes ☠️🤣 that was the best. Thank you for the good laugh. I really needed that.
I think Bella just wanted to be a vampire so damn bad like, if Jacob would’ve been a vamp she probably would’ve just begged him to turn her & been with him after Edward left her in new moon 🤣🤣
Haha, if you think the CGI baby was bad, you should see the chuckesmee doll they were going to use! Think there's a video of the cast talking about it.
They should've told you to do the extended version, because after Jacob imprinted, Edward beat his ass lol which is why it took Jacob so long to come out and join the fight. Edward threw him across the room lol
This was the best reaction yet. Mel couldn't believe someone actually let that happen 😂 Hey Mel, can you please add Something Borrowed to your list of movies to react to? I would love your opinion on the relationship dynamics in that movie. 💜
When I read the books my sister told me to call her when I got to THE part. She said I would know when. When she answered the phone I immediately yelled, “JACOB IMPRINTED ON BELLA’S UTERUS?! That’s why he was so obsessed with “her?” Weird…just weird. Lol
24:17 you would be surprised how often that happens during cpr. You need quite a lot of force to push in a chest to get movement in the heart. The one time I did it I broke someones rib.
Bruh I just love ur reaction so much! But I hate to tell u boo I did read the books & it was so freaking goood! The only thing that killed me the most is the cgi baby! I was like oooh nooooooo! In the the movie theater! Everybody said that & it was hilarious!
Every once in a while, I'll come back to this video when I've had a bad day just to have a laugh at the pure shock, disgust, and passionate "EWWWW" at Jacob's imprinting 😂 I remember reading this book in High School and just being so turned off....I couldn't put it down, but not because it was that good... I kept waiting for it to get better. I was hoping this movie would help me like it more when it came out....it did not 😐
Your reaction on the "Imprinting" scene was just ... *chef's kiss* Priceless. lol xD Can't wait for your reaction for the next movie... I can tell it's going to be as priceless or even more so with the ending of the next flick. lol XD lol P.S. I have to know where you got your Martin Shirt. It looks dope AF. :D
My favorite reaction yet! lmao! I felt this same way when I "pushed" myself to watch this stupid ass movie. As horrible this series is, these last two movies were the most tolerable. Hurry and get part 2 up so we can put this cringe series far behind us.
Dude I freaking love your reactions I've been coming back waiting for this one. The imprinting isn't sexual when they're that young btw.. It's more like they would protect them no matter what even at the cost of their own lives. Then when they mature it may be different because it's hard for someone to not love the one that would do anything for you... And wolves are immortal.. they can wait even if that's not what they're actually consciously doing. And yes the baby's face CGI is TERRIBLE.
I remember it somehow made sense in the books. Because if Bella had chosen Jacob, he never would have imprinted on anyone else and left her like the case with Leah. Seeing as the baby was strictly a product of Bella and Edward. However, if you think about it, it IS a little weird falling in love with someone who has literally watched you grow up since you were in nappies. It would be more of a parental relatioship than a romantic one. Idk, I'd be a little weirded out. 😅
@@jodie3950 no dude he was so attracted to Bella because she was the next best thing. He was instinctively attracted to her because she was the mother of the one he was to be imprinted to. If you look at their relationship he should have hated her but had some sort of loyalty that made no sense. Now we know why.
this reaction was so funny, i was cracking up the whole time. everytime you were like, who thought of this i was thinking “Stephanie Meyer.” 😂 can’t wait for your reaction to part 2. it might be my favorite of the series, but Eclipse is probably my other favorite and you hated that one so idk if you’ll like it or not. i bet your reaction will be entertaining tho. and yes the imprinting and the names, all of the was in the book lol
Breaking Dawn part 2 was the only Movie in this franchise I had seen. Opening weekend too. It's been a trip seeing your reactions and learning more about the series but like backwards. Excited to see the next one.
Imprinting is explained better in the books but it’s still so fucking weird. Your reaction to Jacob imprinting on the baby has to be one of the best out there 😂😂😂
I had basically the same reaction to the imprinting scene, except I used the f word about a dozen times in a row. Goddamn this movie series. But I ♥️ your reactions to each one👍👍👍👍
What?!! I was watching Edward’s expression in the theater scene and didn’t notice you in the scene until you spoke!! 😂😂 I was hilariously surprised. I love that effect of fitting you into the scene itself
I never read the books but when I first saw the Jacob imprinting part, I took it as him being her protector for life, not as a lover, since baby animals imprint to things aka humans, other animals as their parent. Seeing your reaction totally just made me just laugh my ass off and then remembered the next movie XD
As soon as I read the first mention of imprinting in the books, I knew that Bella and Edward were going to have a baby that Jacob was going to imprint upon. And from that moment forward I just had to wait in disgust for it to happen.
I watched this in the theater as an adult for amusement. It was a 10 pm showing so only grown ups. At the end of the movie the theater was filled with hysterical laughter. It was so fun 🤪😂
im so fucking dumb, when i first watched this movie, i thought Jacob imprinting on the baby was like putting a lifelong shield around her, so she can stay protected forever. but now seeing it again after a few years my dumb ass finally realizes its about soulmates. Mello was hilarious tho, made me enjoy watching this so much more.
