Fun flight! Some lessons learned - Over the railroad tracks means directly over the railroad tracks, that's why the controllers keep harping on it all day. Your track drifted right inside 4 miles to Fisk. And be careful not following directly over FISK Ave - the 090 heading is to get you to turn, and then follow FISK Ave per the NOTICE. You flew directly over the microwave tower that was supposed to be off your right wing, and made it a tad bit harder for the tower to see you crossing the 6 lane highway. That's probably why you had to call for your dot. But good debriefing with the video realizing they changed it to yellow. It's an intense environment to land so many planes in a short time!

I had to laugh when you said we were going to make it after Fisk…that’s what I thought last year until the C310 folded his right gear in front of me and they sent me back to endeavor.

Constructive criticism... It's critical for all of the other planes to spot you as you follow directly over top of the roads/rail tracks. (not follow the 1/4section line 1/2 mile parallel to the roads). I had someone merge about 400 feet in front of me from slightly above and to the left coming from pretty much exactly where you were with the classic high wing/low wing visibility issues when turning final at KOSH. Scary but we all lived. It would have been avoided had we all been directly over the road.

Great to see the continuing growth of this product. I’ve been a happy user of FlightView for the past 3 years and this looks like a well thought out upgrade. The peltier cooling is a great solution for those hotter days. I’ll follow up with steve to find out more regarding the airinc adaptor and how to display custom gpio

Why did you have to restart or loop around so many times? From home earlier today I was watching flightradar24 while listening to fisk on liveatc and I wasn't sure why some would get to pass on to OSH to land but others got left turn to 270 to repeat it. I felt bad when I noticed a super decathlon departed KDLL and did the lap 3 times before going back to KDLL for a flight time of 3 hours that started at 10:30am local. They departed 2nd time at 3pm and that attempt only took them 41 minutes to land at oshkosh.

Simply depends on spacing and runways available. If you arrive over Fisk with to many airplanes close by (they specify 1/2 mile, 1 mile or 2 miles in trail, depending on available runway capacity at the field), they will start sending people back out. And at that point in time it’s mere chance whether it’s you or the other guy.

@@cedricfranzen8558 they should tag the plane as each lap especially if they have ADSB then give them a runway on the 2nd or 3rd time of passing fisk since there would be planes directly in front or behind the lappers with proper spacing getting a runway on their first try at fisk.

The first time we had another airplane creep back toward us and, before we had a chance to increase the distance, we were at Fisk and they kicked us back around the line. The second time we arrived at Fisk right when the Cherokee mass arrival was starting. Third time was the charm. --Marc (the annoying copilot/passenger).
