First To Catch 4 Shiny Pokemon Wins 

I know it's mentioned in the video, but I would like to draw even more attention to the absurdity of the timeline of these events. - John gets his first three shinies within an hour of us starting - TWO AND A HALF HOURS later, I get three shinies in 15 minutes. That means I went 3.5 hrs with nothing. I was rescued by absurdity

QOTD: shiny shinx before I even fought the alpha kricketune. My pro controller wasn’t working and started drifting, when I got it working I started heading over to where pichu spawns and saw the golden boi. And now it’s a level 70 luxray

i like how he’s so stressed catching shinies in arceus when unless you didn’t save while you were in the area or you accidentally save after failing a shiny there’s no way to fail one because all the spawns are set when you enter the area.

My first shiny in Pokémon Arceus was Shiny Alpha Gliscor. I was just running around when I saw that bright blue boy with red eyes in the mountains and squeaked. XD

QOTD: Technically it was the guaranteed Ponyta, but first one I caught was from a Teddiursa outbreak. I also failed an abra and qwilfish before i realized you could save when you found it.

QOTD: Not counting the guaranteed shiny Ponyta from the quest, my first shiny in this game was a shiny alpha Hippowdon. I named him Moto Moto and he stayed on my team until I beat Palkia (I started a new team after I beat the main campaign).

Aside from the quest Ponyta, my first shiny was Buizel. Not just the first shiny in Arceus, but the first shiny I ever caught in any Pokemon game. It was a magical moment.

3:24 My first shiny in Legends Arceus was an alpha Buneary (which I got before the Kleavor fight, so that’s fun) and the shiny I would like to get the most is a Hisuian Zorua/Zoroark

4:04 Yup, I experienced this with my hunt for a shiny Zoroark. This spot is totally glitched, where if you’re unlucky while fighting the outbreak, Zorua and Zoroark have a chance to spawn inside of that rock after defeating or catching another mon in the outbreak. I haven’t found a solid way to avoid this other than keeping your distance, so if you’re hunting for either of these Pokemon be careful!

My first shiny, even before the Ponyta from the quest, was the Alpha Snorlax in Obsidian Fieldlands. And yes, I caught it despite the struggle, and he was part of the team immediately after. That was both very stressful and incredibly exciting. As for which I would want... After watching this video, I'd say Hisuian Zorua. It looks gorgeous.

My first shiny in Legends Arceus was yanma, been jumping back in the game and been finding plenty others! Such a great game, need another Legends game

The first shiny I found in Legends Arceus was a Starly, and I hope to find a shiny Hisuian Zorua/Zoroark at some point because it is in my top 5 favorite Pokemon and the shiny is so amazing.

QOTD: My first shiny was drifloon! This was very early in the game right after I beat frenzied Kleavor. I heard the shiny sparkle sound effect and I was legitimately confused by the noise because I didn't know how the shiny mechanics worked in this game. I stopped, looked around, and saw a shiny yellow balloon in the distance. Drifloon is one of my favorite shinies and I was very happy to add it to my team.

QOTD:My first shiny was a shiny Stunky that I found very early in the game when I was just completing the story. When I caught it, I didn’t even know what shinies where until I looked it up. Once I figured out what shinies were, I was so happy that I caught one.

QOTD 1: My first shiny, after the guaranteed ponyta, was a magikarp that I found whilst using basculegion to go toward the static alpha magikarp. I havent finished since I got the game close to the end of the year of 2022 but I will keep looking for more

As someone who randomly stumbled upon a shiny Geodude in that one cave near Azalea in HeartGold, they really do love to be shiny. I also wholly agree with John, I just wish the Graveller shiny was golden like Geodude, I evolved it and boxed it immediately because I was so sad, shiny Geodude was better to me.

QOTD: My first shiny was one of the most amazing pokemon moments to happen to me. I found a shiny Nosepass but i was out of pokeballs and had no materials to make more. Only to 10 minutes later find a shiny Murkrow which i had pokeballs for.

QOTD: my first shiny NOT counting the Ponyta was a Drifloon out in the Coastlands area. I was just meandering around, and it was after I had done a long shift if Lyft driving with no tips at ALL (and by long shift it was 6 hours so 6 hours and nothing but 3 dollar drives) I wanted to take my mind off that disappointing Friday evening and BAM a shiny balloon ghost just POPPED right in front of me and I shrieked and threw the switch in sheer shock, and my cat almost cost me the shiny by laying on it causing the game to go to home screen. But THANKFULLY I still got the shiny. He's named Obi-Wan since he became a ghost after his encounter with Vader.

My first shiny (I assume we aren't counting the guaranteed ponyta) was a luxio that I found while doing the massive outbreak quests. It wasn't even part of an outbreak, it was just 2 luxio chilling

My first shiny happened to be a Ralts. I couldn’t explain how happy I was to see it. Gallade was my favorite Pokémon for so long and even though it isn’t my favorite it still is one of my favorites.

Dont remember if it was my first shiny, may have been second. But during the main story and discovered the alpha Zoroark spawn location in ice caves and happened to be shiny. Never even saw a zorua at that point so I was pretty pumped

Aside from the shiny Ponyta the game gives you, my first shiny in Arceus was Zubat. My favorite one that I've gotten so far in this game is probably Petilil. The one I really want to get but haven't gotten yet has gotta be Hisuian Zorua/Zoroark

My first shiny was the shiny Ponyta from the side quest. It was also my first ever shiny. I then found a full odds bergemite and then a psycuck in a mass breakout. I now also have a kadabra and a misdreavus. It's addicting

My first shiny was a sand cloak wormadam that I actually ended up failing at first because I was too far from it when the battle started, but I died later on and reset my game and remembered it, so I went to the same tree and there it was!

My first shiny from Arceus was a Shinx! I just started the portion where you get kicked out of Jubilife Village. When I was flying on Braviary, a shiny Shinx showed up!

QOTD: My first shiny in Legend Arceus was a shiny Onix. I was just trying to bully a Chimecho into a poke ball to fill up my dex and it led me to a shiny Onix. Thank you, Chimecho. I named him Maui.

You can also tell when a Pokémon will be caught. If it’s a short bounce with 1 puff it’s basically guaranteed to be caught where as a high bounce with 3 puffs of smoke it’s pretty much gonna break out every time. Medium with 2 puffs is a 50/50

3:21 Recently got Legends Arceus, and my first shiny was a Buizel just after you can use Wyrdeer. I managed to get a full odds shiny Buizel before finding an alpha for the Big Buizel, Little Buizel quest... It happened like ten minutes after I joked about finding it before the alpha-

Very late since I only started playing recently, but my first shiny was Mothim when I was training Stantler in Cobalt Coastlands. I proceeded to get shiny Remoraid, Staraptor, the guarantee Ponyta, wurmple/dustox, and alpha rhyhorn before even getting to the Avalugg fight

QOTD: First shiny I found was Parasect! I’m slowly filling up my first box of shinies and haven’t even got the shiny charm yet, so much fun!

Fun fact about spawns in Legends Arceus; all are predetermined as soon as you enter the region from Jubilife. You can reload a save if the Pokémon hadn’t been KOd yet. Spawning in outbreaks is slightly different, but the base 4 spawns work the same

I am so jealous that John got a shiny hisuian Zorua. Zorua and Zoroark is my favourite pokemon mainly because of the hisuian forms and I love the shinies for such a good pokemon.

QOTD: My first shiny was Skorupi the first time I went to the Cobalt Coastlands and ran past the Alpha Drapion and saw a red Skorupi. It's Currently on my team and has been since i caught it! The shiny i want the most is an Eevee so I can get an Umbreon.

QOTD: I had one of my best shiny days ever in Arceus. I was heading out to work on the dex in Obsidien and the first of those three Bidoofs you run across heading down the main path was shiny, at which point I caught it and aptly named it ShinyBeaver. A bit later on the same outing I found a shiny Drifloon, which I kept up on my main squad until the end. It was magic!

First Shiny - Geodude from first outbreak Dream Shiny in PLA - Hisuian Decidueye (Which I caught in a massive mass outbreak)

My first shiny in PLA was a random, full-odds Alpha Magnezone during a distortion event. It was my third shiny ever & the second one I ever caught.

QOTD: Just this morning, at exactly 4:18 A.M. I was riding around Alabaster Icelands, and I encountered a golden Piloswine among the dozen little Swinubs surrounding her. I got my Ultra Ball ready, and now my dear Piloswine (Now Mamoswine) is officially part of the PokéFamily

The first shiny I caught was in pokemon arceus , it was the alpha Tangrowth in the second zone. I had completely forgotten than pokemon could be shiny and that you could see them being shiny now. I was so confused for a second because I didnt understand why it was green 😂 That's also the first Alpha I captured at the beginning of the game and without battling it . I was so confused but also so happy 😂❤ I named her Patapouf , because she clearly is one x)

QOTD: I was exploring a time distortion about 5 hours into the game and by accident I found a shiny onix . It's not the coolest shiny but I was very exited

I have yet to find a shiny in Legends: Arceus, but my all time first shiny was an Onix and that was when I had no idea what a shiny pokemon was XD

-Sigh- My first First Arceus Shiny was Drifloon, a throwback to my first Pokemon Go shiny. In my most recent playthrough- that being number 3.. T'was a Geodude. He's overseeing the fields now. Don't remember my 2nd's first, but im sure i got it saved on my phone.

QOTD: Shiny Geodude was my first shiny in this game QOTD 2: I really want shiny eevee/sylveon on my team. Eevee was my first ever shiny that I ever shiny hunted, and it took only 100 encounters

QOTD: My first shiny was the Ponyta that Legends Arceus practically hands to you. The first shiny that I found on my own was a shiny Hisuian Zorua (thanks massive mass outbreaks).

My first shiny was scythed, but I came at the worst time. I was walking around, and right before this my team go wiped by an alpha babarrel(this was early game). And right after I found the shiny. So I had to take the few materials I had, craft revives, and give it to my Pokémon while also dodging the attacks from the Scyther. I still got it but I was the most stressful gaming experiences I have ever had

My first shiny in PLA other than Ponyta (as well as second non-guaranteed shiny ever and first full odds shiny) was Parasect which... honestly probably made Parasect one of my most disliked mons, combined with how *infuriating* that line is in this game. The favorite shinies I found though are a shiny Lucario which I found as a Riolu in an outbreak, a full odds shiny alpha Froslass, which wasn't even the guaranteed alpha Froslass, and a male Kirlia from an outbreak which I'm unsure if I'll evolve into Gardevoir or Gallade. My most wanted shiny is probably Hisuian Lilligant just cause I really like her, and while that shiny isn't as good as, say, Hisuian Zoroark or Gliscor, I think it's still very nice.

QOTD: First shiny I found was a Buizel I randomly saw while catching pokemon on the way to the other camp, didn't use it since I already had Dewott by then, but it's still kinda cool, definitely gonna try to find another shiny sometime though lol QOTD2: It really between Shinx, Zorua, Scyther, and Gligar since I haven't used their evos on a team hardly at all outside of postgame (besides Shinx of course, who hasn't caught or used a Shinx in a Sinnoh playthrough lol), and I really like the shinies on them and their evos.

QOTD: On my way to calm Kleavor, I found a shiny Psyduck! I was so worried that it was going to run away when I couldn’t catch it without a battle. Catching shinies in this game is so much scarier!

My first shiny was Rufflet (full odds by the way) This was my first Rufflet and at the time I was just trying to complete the story. But what made this shiny special was the fact that Braviary had a new form and the new all black is just the coolest.

My first (and so far only) shiny in PLA was a shiny Gible. I was in the Alabaster Icelands when I noticed there was an outbreak of Gible occurring so I went so I could complete the Dex entry. While battling a horde a shiny spawned and I caught it!

I recently replayed my Legends Arceus story with a new team which had a shiny electrode and a shiny Hisuian Braviary. *That was amazing.*

QOTD: My first one I found was a shiny Luxio! Unfortunately my Luxray is way too buffed for me to justify replacing it on my main team, but I love my golden lion all the same 💛

Onix. I got it by wondering around. I evolve it and didn’t use it. But my second shiny i use it. It was the alpha crobat. Went i enter it was shiny i wasted nore than 40 pokeball and 5 live for it. The last one alive was my over level starter. Wich is weak to it. But now it was in my team.

Found a random Shiny Snowrunt in the Alabaster Icelands... failed to catch it due to being so shocked at randomly finding a Shiny during the main story that I stupidly didn't save before catching it and just thinking a Wing Ball would catch it, it broke out and ran before I could throw another ball or one of my Pokémon to battle it.

QOTD: My first shiny was a machop I also have a tip for all Legends Arceus players. If the pokeball shakes very little, it's basically a critical capture, so you can be happy when you see it happen on a shiny or so.

QOTD: My first shiny in this game was shiny growlithe, I found her while roaming around the coastlands (no outbreak tho) being midway the adventure

To answer the Question of the Day, I have gotten quite a few Shinies through trades, but I do not count those. So, the first Shiny I ever got was a Psyduck in Scarlet and Violet that I found a few minutes into the game. Then, a little while later, I got a Shiny Drednaw. I was soooo happy!!

My first shiny in Legends Arceus was a shiny Kricketot that I found while wandering around the Obsidian Fieldlands. After that find, I went for almost 2 months without a shiny find until just recently when I found a shiny Luxio also in Obsidian and then the next day, I'm in the Cobalt Coastlands making my way to Windbreak Stand to get the Hisuian Growlithe that I hadn't gotten yet and when I get to the Growlithe, it was freaking shiny! Excluding the shiny Ponyta you get in that side quest, those are all my shiny Pokemon in Legends Arceus right now.

QOTD: My first shiny in legends arceus was a shiny alpha gliscor on my first visit to coronet highlands. Nearly gave me a heart attack when I heard the shiny sound and it was the alpha. As for what I’m currently hunting I’m hunting for a shiny Oshawott,Dewott, or Samurott in the space time distortions of post game.

My first shiny was shiny Golbat in the rain. At first, I forgot to save and killed it but I saved as soon as I got to the area, so I retraced my steps, found it, and caught it. Now it's on the team and its name is Mr. Shine. Also, it's a lv. 100 Crobat.

1st shiny: Shinx *Twas going to use Jolteon in my party as I had just used Luxray in Shining Pearl, but shortly after beginning mine adventure in Legends Arkoos I came across this sparkly yellow demi-god. Twas one of the first Pokemon I caught in this game and is still at mine side. Desired shiny: methinks Porygon

QOTD: I know I'm late to this, but my first shiny in PLA was a Kricketot. It was 1 hour into my first playthrough, I had just beaten the Alpha Kricketune, and after I had left I saw a yellow Kricketot. It broke out of 3 backstrikes and I finally caught it at the last second before it dissapeared

My first shiny in Arceus was my first mon after the 2 catching tutorials and was a shiny shinx, and the one Shiny I want the most is probably shiny Zoura or Budew, I really like the purple beard that budew gains

The very first shiny I found in Arceus was a Golduck and didn't even know it was a shiny until I went into my boxes to organize my pokemon. The one shiny pokemon i want to find so bad is Goodra. Goodra is one of my all-time favs

QOTD: I actually got my first shiny of the game just a few hours ago. 34 hours into the game, only having beaten two of the five nobles, and I got a shiny Yanma in an outbreak. I love him sm. 💙

QOTD: After the shiny ponyta event (I don’t count that as my first, as it’s guaranteed), a shiny Bidoof showed up seconds after Update: Found a shiny Staravia and Buizel in the same day.

My first shiny was a Zubat. Took me by surprise. I got a lot of full odds shinies in this game. I only ever got a Patrat in B&W full odds. And that was my only shiny until I bred for some in Gen VIII. Never even got a raid den one. I got a ton in Gen IX that I thankfully didn't run past. A lot of Lechonk. Now, I have the shiny charm, so no more full odds.

First shiny in this game I got is bronzong. The only one I've got from an outbreak was a Machop while I was trying to clear the Machop outbreak, the shiny just appeared while I was getting rid of them.

QOTD: my first shiny was parasect while trying to get another star to progress in the story. Not the best shiny, but I’ll take it

My first shiny in PLA was a teddiursa I came across in the mirelands. I never thought I would catch a full odds(I think?) shiny early in my playthrough but there it was right next to an alpha Ursaring. Its now an Ursaluna and stayed in my team for the rest of the game.

My first shiny was a Chatot. Top notch shiny. Vibrant yet not an eyesore. *It doesn't give you blindness*.

First shiny I ever found in Pokémon: Legends Arceus was a Shiny Wurmple 20 minutes in, I loved it so much. I say "loved" because it evolved into a Cascoon. As for which Shiny I want, probably a Shiny Hisuian Samurott!

QOTD: I know this is months late but recently got the game and rewatching these challenges I felt I should answer. I got heading to get the riding Wydeer when I heard the sound and searched and found shiny Stantler. It’s a bad shiny and I forgot to save and was worry when it started to run, not flee the area thankfully, but I got him. I’ve gotten some more shinies since then but you don’t forget the first…even if it isn’t a good one.

I've never gotten a shiny in this game or most games for that matter, but I agree I would love to get a Shiny Kleavor it looks so damn good!!

First shiny was a Paras. That was chilling next to the Alpha Parasect. I was terrified. But, I got him and now he’s a shiny Parasect. I love them. :)
