Nice one Luke. That tape looks like 3M Dual Lock. It's much stronger than velcro. Guitarist's use it all the time to secure effects pedals to their pedal board. It's super strong.
So let me get this right. You tested it to a distance that the Deeper already goes to without the extender and concluded that is a great piece of kit 😂😂😂. What a thorough review that was 😂😂
Do you have a deeper they lose signal around 20 wraps …. I fish at 40 on big lakes so it’s nice to have the kit … if you don’t fish at 40 it’s a waste of money .
@@CountingCarp_uK yes I have one and tbh, it’s a disappointment. If it loses signal at 20 wraps, but you say you don’t need this kit unless you fish 40, what about 21-39 ?? 😂
Do you fish with a bent pin and a piece of cotton tied to a piece of garden cane or do you have 2/3 carbon rods on electronic alarms? It’s called technology and progress. Yes someone things are designed to catch the angler, but without a bait boat now I wouldn’t be able to get on the bank due to nerve damage in my casting arm, so I’m all for helpful technology
It certainly won’t fall off believe me. The it’s attached with a heavy duty type Velcro and once it’s on it’s not coming off when driven by a bait boat. I’ve been demo’ing it at shows this year and it take a decent amount of force to get it off 👍🏻
@@MartynsAnglingAdventures I would stop calling it Velcro, it’s nothing like it as you know and is just confusing the poor loves. They have trouble understanding things 😉
Why not just use your existing storm pole to hold the range extender, you can screw that into the ground and it won’t fall over like a tripod can in the wind, the tripod is surely an unnecessary extra thing to carry? Plus the deeper security trap, just tie a piece or braid to the screw fitting and the handle on your boat, braid with 2 loops is all you need. If the safety strap is in the kit it just adds to cost unnecessarily surely. Oh and the price around £170 for the range extender kit, £70 for the unnecessary tripod. So £240. You get what you pay for right? Well you do get a £12 deeper holder in the kit. But ND do a wi fi range extender for £100. Less than half the price. A bit more fiddly to set up but powers off any power pack you already have. Why do reviews without any price point indication? Blooming annoying, had to research myself when you should have done it. Do you get free trial if you don’t reveal the cost???
Again up to :) Deeper like this statement, my deeper should work up to 100m and lose connection after 30m max. And now they want 180£ for extender which work UP TO :)). 50 yards is less than 100m, so according to the specification, the deeper itself should have such a range. Why they charge so much money to fix something what they claim should work alone.
I have seen things like this in the past. The big issue is that people like myself would have absolutely no idea on how to make this work with a Deeper or what else we would need to purchase. If you can point us to a setup guide for it that would be great but otherwise it is of no benefit to us who are not clued up on this sort of thing. I am envious of those who can make it work so this is not a negative response, I just wish it was something all of us could do. The biggest disappointment is that the Deepers never get anywhere near their promised range otherwise people would not be looking at things like this as much.
@@johngmls I agree that the DIY setups are bulkier, lacking documentation but the price difference is massive. On the other hand one button push is way better that menus and possible failure due to some obscure setting not done right. ND range extender uses the same Vonets devices. Search youtube for deeper booster baitboat vonets vap11s. Deeper is milking it with that tripod with standard camera thread and not a BSF 3/8 so it coud be used with a bankstick also. I hope the range is as advertised but using Deeper more than 3 years now it hardly gets on mirror flat water and no interference to 75% of advertised range. The product is brilliant with all the shorcomings included but the accesories are overpriced. They shoud get a better antenna or a removable battery in the cap, even a special cap with antenna for the bait boat. 200m is medium range for a bait boat.
It’s not the fuzzy type, it’s heavy duty, I’ve seen it at the shows when I worked on the Deeper Stand and it certainly takes a good amount of pressure to remove.
@@MartynsAnglingAdventures that’s not the problem. The problem is you remove it during transport. It’s gets dirty, etc. etc. The should have made it detachable with a kind of locking, semi flexible mechanism. Velcro is so cheap….
@@stanneveldm well believe me we removed it hundreds and hundreds of times over the duration of the shows and it was just as secure as the first time we removed it. 👍🏻
@@MartynsAnglingAdventures and that’s why there is a safety line included… 😉 Would you go out on a big lake without the safety line? I think nobody would, and that’s why felcro is a big fail in my opinion.
