You can, but no one spends $6,000 dollars for a ship they can instead quickly gather resources to build from scratch. I've been playing eve for almost a decade, and trust me, that ship was farmed for a few months by a corporation of players looking to have a big awesome gun. The money comparison is always mentioned because there is a one way currency transfer for Real World money TO In Game money. So an equivalency can be shown. 15 USD = ~1 Billion Isk. So this ship was worth 33 billion isk ( plus a lot more that the kill record doesn't take into consideration). 33 x 15 = $495. So if someone WANTED to buy all the resources necessary to build one of these, they'd need about 500$ to do so, but the amount of IRL work to get 500$ vs the amount of In Game work to get 33 billion~: the in game work is much easier, especially if you have a lot of people working towards the goal of building one of these.
no....the only way the game perpetuates is through PLEX and the only way PLEX come into life is by someone, somewhere paying real world money for it so there is a direct and accurate conversion between PLEX, ISK, and real world money...so no...that exact player did not spend the $6000 but in aggregate $6000 was spent, in concert, by many players in order to allow that ship to exist.
Did you really have to open the killmail right away?! The killmail is available always, you could have looked a few seconds later and let yourself and all your viewers appreciate the fine explosion of the first vanquisher ever destroyed...... and instead, you NEEDED to IMMEDIATELY see the information that would always be available? Ha , been playing as a "Red" against Tau for years, always wondered what he sounded like. Being in CFC we would come and go all over eve, but would run into his gang often . We all talked shit in local we being drunk Americans, they seemed to be angry Ruskies /Eastern block types but always they took the fight even out numbered and we all won some and lost some. They just did gf in local as a joke.talking shit its just salt on the wound we all do to each other we laugh it off and move on. You have no idea the multi tasking it took to get that done. For him to hunt while getting his mates organized and ready to get this kill..This is THE SHIP IN GAME TO HAVE OR TO KILL VERY VERY RARE. Anyone hunting this ship just that alone heart would be racing..eve is different..it has real cost, real cause and effect. THE PVP in eve is like no other, the rush you get you and yours against THEM. He is good at hunting and what they do in low sec, so even as one of this guys enemies in the most hated group in eve (old cfc grrr gonz h8gonz) I give him props for kills like this. He does it often and knows what he is doing. Respect And for the troll comments who know nothing about eve, or what you think you know..You really don't I have 10 years in this game on and off and learn new things all the time. BPC are worthless yet BPO (the infinite run ones) are worth quite a fair amount and seeing as there are so little T2 BPO in existence they can be worth a shit ton.
I hate FCs like him. Way too excited, cursing at everyone, I hear an FC like that and I leave fleet. If I wanted to listen to someone scream I would lock myself in a room with 2yr olds.

Killing a vanquisher is like hunting a unicorn.... it's unethical... Iol although EVE has hands down the biggest piece of shit gamers of any game out there so it makes sense
