Hi! I registered for classes a few days before the first day of classes! It was really competitive so I recommend having an idea of what classes you want to take beforehand and registering as soon as the registration period opens. This is where I went to look for classes and pressed the "English Taught Courses" tab. --> oia.ewha.ac.kr/oia/1170/subview.do I also recommend taking a look at the courses offered in the previous semester to get an idea of what might be available during the semester you are studying abroad. All of my classes were taught in English except my Korean language class which was mostly taught in Korean with some English. You can also take classes taught in Korean if you are comfortable and confident in your Korean language skills! I hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions! :)

Thank you! There is a gym facility in I-House which is the dorm for exchange students, however, it is currently not available to use because of COVID. I know some exchange students have gotten gym memberships at nearby gym facilities not affiliated with Ewha. I personally just exercise by running on the track that Ewha has on campus which is free to use and near the dorms!

I paid about 1,200 USD to reserve my spot at Ewha's quarantine facility. That includes the room, food, and other amenities that may be offered to you. The only thing I had to pay out of pocket was the transportation fee for getting both of my covid tests at the beginning and end of my stay in the facility!

Thank you! If you are talking about applying for the visa and having a certain amount of money in the bank then yes it's true! I don't think it needs to be $20,000. If you are studying abroad for one semester, it may be around $3,000-5,000. If you are studying abroad for a full year, the amount may be close to around $10,000. However, I would double-check this information with your Korean consulate near your area or check with Ewha University. From personal experience, I believe I needed to have $5,000 in my bank account for one semester. I hope this helps!

Hi! I believe they accepted both types of payment! However, I think paying with cash was easiest since there is an ATM right on campus that can be used to withdraw money. Only a certain amount of cash can be taken out from the ATM per day so for about 2-3 days I withdrew money until I had the right amount of money to pay for the dorms. Paying online can also be done but there wasn't that many instructions on how to do that so it was confusing for me. I just ended up paying in cash and it worked out, hope this helps!

I would definitely reccomend to do your research in advance and make sure that Ewha offers the major you want to study and if they offer courses taught in English if that's your preferred language. I liked studying at Ewha and I thought all the professors were so kind and knowledgeable. Studying Korean was not too difficult and it was by far my favorite class :)

I applied for various scholarships and saved up money to fund my trip to Korea! I applied to the Gilman Scholarship which helped fund my trip too! I recommend looking for scholarships and applying to as many as you can

I am taking communication courses and Korean language related courses!

I am not vegetarian! But, I do have friends that are vegetarian and they still manage to find some vegetarian places nearby!

Yes! But, you can be a male and still do an exchange program here at Ewha! There's a bunch of males in the program and not just women :)
