Happy Sunday my loves! Hope you enjoy seeing what our first experience of the Wild Atlantic Way is like. Bit of a change from Mexico! Say hello in the comments if you fancy it, and let us know what you think! See you for Part 2 on Sunday 11th August! ✨
I followed you guys in Canada. Now I see you on Ireland and the scenery is so very much like the Canadian province where I live. I live in Newfoundland Canada 🇨🇦 and the scenery so far reminds me of here.
I have to say, from an Irishman who loves travel, culture and a big RU-vid follow. I'm hugely impressed with you natural and authentic review. Your editing and music choices are excellent. As Brits, I'll be honest, I didn't expect much and I was about to click off but after watching this episode I feel like myself and my girlfriend would love to meet you on the road trip. Thank you for doing such a good docu job on highlighting our treasures. You've done an amazing job and so much better than our "national broadcaster....RTE" who get paid crazy money but we now have 2 Brits come here and do a far better job. Your music, drone work, film editing and personality is your thing. We'd love to have a pint with you. Thank you for doing such a great job 😘
@@mastergreener Well, thank you so much! Glad we surpassed your expectations, even though they seemed pretty low 😉😆 We've fallen in love with Ireland and the videos have become a bit of a love letter to the country! Thanks again for the kind words, really means a lot 🙏x
I have been binge-watching vids about Ireland but have only come across three negative clickbait titles and they were from a channel called "Northerners on Tour", a couple from northern England. I did not like her personality after the first vid (too negative and complaining) so I skipped the other two. Apart from them I have seen only positive titles on the vids about Ireland. 💚💚💚
"Let us know what you think" We think it is a world class travel vid. 🏆 So magical. So fresh. Every season in 24 hours, hiker's being whisked away to fairy lane, Gandalf on the horizon. We don't think anyone has ever created such an enchanting vid on remote Ireland. Thank you! 🍀
This is beyond kind of you to say, thank you so much. So happy to hear you enjoyed the video, haven't enjoyed filming and editing this much in a long time, so that means a lot to me 💛 xx
I'm so happy you guys enjoyed making it too. Living near the beach in southern California, the remote part of Ireland is way more exotic and appealing then the nerve-racking trip thru central america you guys endured 😵💫 Of course you created that legendary trip across America including sleeping near alligators, magical forests in the Pacific Northwest and making it all the way up alaska. Unforgettable. And who better can bring us the wonders of remote ireland and UK than you. You 2 and doggos are extension of the Celtic tribe. Also we're expecting funding on ocean renewal project and then we hope to become upper tier Patrons. Thank you for being such lovely people and fellow dog person lovers. 🐶 🐕
I’m from Ireland and have literally never seen it look so well! You guys are talented at what you do. Thank you for the positive video and for showing Ireland in its best possible light 🙏 Also, fair play to guy for trying his best with the madra 🐕
You guys seem so much happier now that you are back in the UK and Ireland. You have so much more energy that comes across in the videos. You are the third van life couple that I watch to reduced the frequency of your videos. Good for you, life is too short to be stressed. Enjoy you adventures and we will enjoy watching them x
Thank you 💛 Exactly this. We feel really happy to be back, refreshed and energised creatively, mentally and all that. We want to keep making videos and so making sure it’s sustainable is the most important thing. Happy to hear you can see the difference already 🥰💛 xx
Wow, what fantastic production values. Bravo guys. And boy did you strike lucky with the weather! Thank you for portraying the beauty of the west coast, and especially West Cork.
You both have a natural talent for this, if more people stumbled across you the views would go through the roof. You are like a breath of fresh air, Thank You 😄😄 Cheers, Poth.
Thank you for doing our country justice. I’m from Kerry. Where you showed in your video. And I have known for years that we have some of the most amazing landscape in the world and you have really showed it here. 😊
Love Ireland and the special warmth of the people. People think Atlantic Canadians are friendly and we mostly are, but the Irish have such warm and welcoming souls! They are much like the Newfoundlanders here. Lots of Newfoundlanders have Irish heritage so I guess that makes sense. Will be happily following your Irish adventures!
Warm, welcoming souls is exactly how I would describe them. Had nothing but kindness and hospitality, makes us feel so welcome here. Can’t wait to make it to Newfoundland 💛
Our country is spectacular with such unspoilt coastlines, thank you so much for sharing your video, looking forward to the next one, stay safe, love the dogs.
The geology of Ireland is just mind-blowing!! 🤯🤯 Such mystical and mystifying images! A lot of adventures already and only scratched the surface! ❤️❤️😎👍xx
Just came across your channel and this video of my back yard. Thank you so much for showing the beauty of west Cork. I've lived Durrus/Kilcrohane the last 40 years and I will admit, do take where I live for granted. Winter can be very tough here weather wise, but you guys had a good spell of sunshine. Shows our scenery at its best. Most visitors arrive in Cork and head straight to Killarney missing out on our 3 peninsulars. Mizen Head, 3 Castle Head, Sheep's Head and around to Allihies. Breathtaking. Enjoy the rest of your travels. ❤
Thanks so much Ruth, so pleased to hear you enjoyed the video! We loved West Cork and had pretty good weather the whole 4 weeks we were in Ireland! The peninsular's have been breathtaking 💛
Ireland is absolutely beautiful , and your right the people are so friendly , the first time we ever went we stayed in Rosslare, , our daughter fell quite ill , been new to the area didn’t know where the emergency doctors were and it was a Sunday , I nipped in a police station for directions , we ended up with a police escort to the doctors and he managed to get us right at the front of the queue, they can’t do enough for you . If you get chance go into a proper Irish bar with proper Irish music , the experience is magical .
Doesn’t surprise us at all, couldn’t imagine anything less from the Irish. We’ve had the warmest welcome we can’t even explain. Can’t wait to get to a trad music session, even have my own tin whistle 😆💛
I am Irish from Northern Ireland but I had hardly done any travelling down South. So my wife and myself did the Wild Atlantic Way last year, and everything you say about Ireland is true. I had also forgotten how genuinely friendly we are. By the way, in 'Norn Iron' we call it Wheaten bread and the Southerners call it soda bread. P.s..."Céad mile fáilte"...☘️☘️
Excellent video, I am English toured EUROPE (every where) then found Ireland. Live here, toured every where, fell in love the place . But now lots of campers & lots of "No Camping Signs" but it is still wild and an excellent experience; In one day rain-wind-snow- sometimes sunshine. The people are so friendly & warm. Welcome
Wow what a difference in you both ❤. You're seem so much happier which makes viewing your videos so exciting . I can't wait for your next video and would much rather less videos but seeing you happy, energised and loving life.
Oh my, what unbelievable landscapes. Just Beautiful. I thought the remote west coast of Scotland was awesome but ohh. Fantastic video Both. Loved it. Wonderful dog rescue Ben, sad to see people passing by. Keep Loving the Adventure Both. Love and Big Hugs ❤
It's pretty special out here Asa! Never been anywhere so wild, beautiful, unspoilt. Even the towns and villages are beautiful. Hope you guys are having fun wherever you are 💛
Forst time watching you guys. Love when people see what we see living here, while also reminding us not to take it for granted! Also love how slow you're doing it, people tend to fly along and hit only 10 places. Enjoy! Looking forward to the next video
And Ireland used to be covered in that type of ancient forest, was a temperal rainforest basically. Plans to rewild will hopefully gather more steam over the next few years
We realised very early on that fast travel here would be an injustice! We won’t make it further north of Galway on this trip but we’re already planning the return 😀😀💚
Oh we both love this video with all of the beautiful vistas and footage of your travels. The thing we love the most, aside from seeing River and Scout of course, is seeing the two of you so much more relaxed. Also finally someone gets how truly magical the green landscape is there. The green of the rolling hillsides are different than anywhere else I have ever been and that feeling of awe while looking out the train window heading from Dublin to Portadown all those many, many years ago has not left my memory nor my ♥. Anyone I share that with clearly does not understand it. Also loved your nod to the fairies. Something one of my grandmothers and all of her sisters always talked about. Fairies and ghosts were her favourite subjects to bring up on her weekly visits. Just got a garden ornament a few weeks ago that has fairies dancing up a dandelion in bloom in honour of them all.
Thank you so much my love 💛 We haven’t been anywhere this green, ever I don’t think! Hard to explain until you come here. It’s such an unspoilt land. I’m so happy the videos brought back some happy memories for you 🙏💞
Good Sunday from Northern Norway 🇳🇴. I enjoyed watching the nice video and gained valuable insights. Ireland 🇮🇪 is still on my list of places to visit. Thank you for sharing. Best regards, Alex
Fabulous video you two! Stunning scenery. Thank you for taking me there. I’d love to see it in person! Such terrific camera & drone footage. Just love it!
Guys this episode was truly captivating 😍 loving all the ASMR and feeling like we are right there with you. Looks breathtaking, you guys are glowing & it makes us really miss adventures on the road right now. Enjoy every second 🌳
Thanks so much guys, I just know you would absolutely love Ireland. We both feel so happy out here. Sending loads of love to the three (four!) of you. Keep that hot tub warm for when we’re back 😉😇 xx
Ohhh….. it’s so lovely to see your travels again. I can’t believe the comment about travelling for 5 years!!! 😮 I remember starting to watch you in covid. I’m really glad you’re slowly down and getting to smell the roses - or the lush green Irish air xx ❤️
Love this! Covid feels like a different lifetime! Yep 5 years in the van! Madness. The hedges here are filled with wild roses, so technically we’re smelling both the roses AND the lush green Irish air 😆 🌹 xx
Stunning as always.Your added commentary on the sites you visit really adds to the enjoyment. Looking forward to more! Following you since you arrived in Nova Scotia.
Playing catchup with my regular watches at present. your footage on this is up there with the best of them. even towards the start the clarity of the mist n fog is something else. I hope the rest of Ireland delivers the rugged lushness delivered in this episode. will share to facebook
Welcome to ireland 🇮🇪 lads....enjoy the west coast...you both seem to be having a great time...hopefully the weather continues to play ball...safe travels...😊
Lovely to see the country through a strangers eyes! I hiked all these peninsulas back in 2020 so it’s lovely to see some random sights I’d forgotten about again. If you’re not past limerick already you’re very welcome at my wee country house for a cuppa tea
Hiking them must have been spectacular! Saw a few signs for long-distance trails and thought how good it would be to experience it all by foot. Hope the video bought back some good memories for you 🥰 💛
@@OverlandingSophia it really was there's trails all along the Dingle Iveragh Beara and Sheep's Head peninsulas with some gorgeous terrain. Lovely time. Looking at the rain this evening though I'm also reminded of some....less fun times 😆Looking forward to part 2!
It is so lovely to see you out and about. You make everything just so magical. I know Ireland is beautiful, but you've just got a way of capturing things so well. The dog's faces and reactions when Ben went off with the lost dog were so funny.
I am so happy to see you back, happy and bubbly! Your video is absolutely gorgeous and I love how you are narrating! I hope you will go visit more megalithic sites! I now know why people have stars in the eyes when talking about Ireland! Big hugs from Switzerland.
So very happy Sunday, dearests! Absolutley beautiful . I've been missing your story telling a lot. Fantastic video, as usual. I always want to go to the part of the world you are in, even when it is frustrating as has happened in the past in Central America. Ireland is always a delicious stop. Waiting for part 2. 🥰😍🤩
@@OverlandingSophia good things there aint no coyotes in Ireland. So funny, I'm an Uber driver in California and just after watching your episode I picked up three Irish girls who are working here in San Diego for the summer. I told the I just finished watching your escapades and they were so excited and despite not understanding half of what they said, due to their accent, they just mentioned so many of the places you had been. Once again, thanks for the inspiration.
❤ GR8 VID ~ LOVED IT ❤ it was so good I had to watch it twice. Last week Michael & I were wild camping on Mount Rainier in Washington and this week we are in the middle of Oregon in the Deschutes National Forest, checking out Mount Bachelor and floating down the Deschutes River. We still have Internet even though we're deep in this forest so we were able to catch you and Ben roaming around Ireland. Great video ❤
Thanks so much David 🥹 Sounds like you guys are having a blast in the PNW this summer! Keep on exploring, love that you were watching from the middle of the forest in Oregon 💛✨
Welcome to Ireland and best wishes on your trip. Every day will hopefully be an adventure you'll remember with joy. Don't worry about the weather it just adds to the atmosphere of wherever you are. Enjoy.....
This is just Brilliant my home in southern Ireland in haven,t lived there since 1956 been back to Killarney many times the countryside is as beautiful as ever , Thanks for the video .
Wow, it's definitely on my agenda for next year. You are so right, the WAW is certainly a route not to be rushed, especially if you are lucky with the weather as you have been so far. Great footage, I thoroughly enjoyed the watch. Looking forward to the next episode. Cheers guys 👍 🐸
The weather gods have been looking down on us - had more sunshine than clouds even! Get yourself over there, you won't regret a second 💚 Hope the recovery is coming on well x
@OverlandingSophia thanks for reply, yes getting a little stronger each day. "Kermit" was delivered home on Friday, great to see him again (11 weeks apart) Cheers 👍🐸
Hello and welcome back. It is so nice to see that you guys are Al out and about again and taking us on another journey. Ireland is looking beautiful, and I can’t wait to see more. Thanks for taking us along.
So glad to have you back traveling in the van! Great job on Ireland! Will have to get my border to check it out, he’s from Northern Ireland. He will be heading home on vacation in a week or so. Looking forward to more of your video adventures!!
It's so lovely to see you exploring places I've spent so much time in, I'm glad you seemed to be enjoying your time here, it looks so beautiful in your video, you've really captured the magic ☘❤
@OverlandingSophia it's such a beautiful part the world, I feel very lucky to live here. I don't know about you, but I honestly don't mind the rainy, misty weather we get so often here, it's quite atmospheric 😍
Hi there I’m so enjoying the slow pace of travel along the wild Atlantic way with you all and the quality of your videos and seeing you all so relaxed and living your best lives!❤ Thankyou see you in 2 weeks 👍
Yahoo!! A MAP!!! Another great video of a beautiful country. This video was in the heart of where my mother was born and raised. I visited decades ago. Such a wonderful country with friendly people who take the time to just be friendly! See you in two weeks! Looking forward to it!
I think people watch more for the maps than us 😆 Well, maybe River and Scout too. Such a beautiful part of Ireland, and the world. Totally agree about the Irish, they've really made this trip for us, even if we can't always capture those moments on camera 💛 x
I've watched many videos here of people touring my country. You have just shared number one spot jointly with another young man, as far as I'm concerned. Your camera work is stunning and your commentary is so likeable, there is no intrusive pop/rock music(I'm a music lover, which means Bach, Beethoven, Mozart etc.), and the few strains of folky inobtrusiveness we hear work perfectly. You should be employed by the Irish tourist board, because I actually think you make this country look even more beautiful than it is. I love your Tolkien forest comment, maybe in Ireland you could also drag a W..Yeats quote in by the scruff of the neck. One I'd have in mind for just such a place is 'I know of the leafy paths the witches take'. Hope you get to my favourite place in Ireland soon, Achill Island , and if you do , make sure you get to the so called 'back of beyond', behind Croughaun Mountain. You see Lake Bunafreava West , one of the most chillingly beautiful places imaginable. This is a corner of Achill Island that is cut off by mountains, there is a huge area uninhabited and roadless. featuring the highest sea cliffs in western Europe, a beautiful cut off beach called Annagh, and perhaps the most inspiring atmosphere in Ireland. Needless to say visiting there is not easy and local advice is helpful but you are obviously old hands at this stuff so I just had to say that. Here is a link on the Croughaun cliffs walk, not my video but the uploader kindly pinned my description of the walk from Annaugh to Croughaun to the top of his comments.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3lrZb3X1Tk4.html
That's really lovely to hear, thank you so much. A lot of love goes into these so its always so nice when people appreciate the little things 💛 I LOVE Yeats and yes, that quote in particular would work wonders for almost any forest in Ireland. We won't make it to Achill island on this trip, but it will be our first port of call when we return to the northern half of the WAW. But made bookmarks of your recommendations for that trip, so thank you very much! x
I am in Ireland now and it's beautiful and I wish I could stay forever but I have to go home tomorrow and I hope to come back soon love the emerald island the home of my ancestors!
Spectacular!! Absolutely loved this. Cannot wait til next week’s instalment. Beautifully edited, amazing scenes, magical stories voiced over. Really want to visit Ireland now. ❤ so happy I found you guys. You deserve so many more followers.
I've just subscribed to your channel. What an absolute delight watching you two and your beautiful dogs on your travels. With all the crap around the world right now you bought me back to the real world and what life is truly about 🥰. I'd love to do what you are doing but hubby prefers the bricks and mortar 🙄 - but hey ho I'll be watching your videos from now on - happy travels beautiful free spirits 🐕🦺🦮👩❤💋👨
Wendy this message made our morning. Thank you so much for the kind words, and welcome to the channel! Thanks for reminding us why we do this, and who knows about your own van life adventures, we've been known to persuade the odd partner or two 😉 😘 Big love from us xx 💛
Like others in the comments, i also just want to say how beautiful this episode is. I love all your videos of curse, but a special shout out to this one... you certainly sprinkled some irish fairy magic through the edit, the music and overall feel of this video. Its always such a joy when its an overlanding Sophia Sunday, thank you both and so glad you're sharing this with us. Happy travels and much love from Switzerland ✨🫶
Oh Tara thank you! This made me smile 🥹 I love Ireland, deeply, and I love that you felt the magic through the screen. The best compliment I could get. Big hugs and love to Switzerland 💛 xx
@@OverlandingSophia Oh - I forgot to mention that the wonderful underwater effect was not missed, so satisfying and cool 😌! Truly, the detail and care you put into it really makes it a gem of a video. 🌊
Oh I really really enjoyed your two last videos!!! I've always had a vague idea of the lush nature of the UK an Ireland but you've made me think of how much of a countrys true beauty we lose by just visiting the major tourist spots etc! Really appreciate that breath of fresh air you are bringing us! Much love from Greece ❤
Thank you! When we went to Greece a few years ago, we explored the mountains of the north and saw a side to Greece we didn't know existed! Lush valleys, waterfalls, ancient villages... it really pays to get away from the main tourist areas sometimes 💛 xx
Totally new to your channel, i saw the title, and as i am Irish and live in Kilkenny. I thought i id have a look. I've been through this part of Ireland many times. It's truly beautiful. I have never done it by camper van, though. It's definitely something I'd love to do after watching this. ❤
Oh wow you live in a beautiful part of the world. Ireland is wonderful for camper vans! Some of our most memorable wild camps and experiences have been here 💛
