Great video - i just can't agree what you said about the vents ... you never know how clean the vent is inside and one ! single drop can ruin your hard work ... Also there is a risk to knock it off if is an old wonky vent , especially when is up there on a second floor window . I do wash all vents especially if is a first clean then wipe the top of the frame with a microfiber cloth. Or probably im paranoid:)

Interesting what you said about defective vents, I assumed that was how vents worked as well however I have had a few customers tell me that on every sill inside a window which has a vent the water has got in and formed a puddle inside??
@Darren-Green
@Darren-Green 5 лет назад
Tell them to close the vents when they know you're coming. That's about the only advice I think I can offer.

Wait a minute...why have you no streaks of water on glass???
@Darren-Green
@Darren-Green 5 месяцев назад
The brush head loosens all the dirt and muck, then when rinsed off with the water it will dry spot and streak free. The secret is in the water, or, I should say, what is NOT in the water, the water is highly purified using RO and DI and this removes all contaminants and particles from the water giving a reading of 000 on a TDS meter. In summary there is nothing left in the water to stick to the glass and therefor it evaporates spot and streak free.

I know this is fairly old now and love your vids but…. There are some vents you simply can’t get away with , no matter how much you rinse, ime. Especially the vents that are grid style on the fronts, aweful to clean them, only solution I’ve found is the thoroughly clean them, rinse them and come back to it 10 minutes later or try and mop up the excess water with a dry cloth or sponge, it’s not nonsense to say vents are no problem at all, I find them the worst part of cleaning windows, that and the dreaded hydrophobic f’n glass 🤬

Not at all. I stick to 2lpm so about 70 on my controller. If you have a particularly grotty window the customers garden hose is always a handy option.

How often do you do the customer windows,
@Darren-Green

Most UK customers have a once a month clean - some every two months. Remember, the less frequent the more grime to clean next time, the more time it takes, the more you need to charge.

I'm thinking of going WFP but I have a lot of customers where the only access to the back garden is through the house, which setup would be best? Keep up the great work
@Darren-Green
@Darren-Green 3 года назад
To be completely honest for WFP the jobs where you have to go through the house can be a right pain in the rear. Having said that less of a pain than carrying a ladder through the house. I would recommend as part of your set up you have a backpack system for these jobs. Both Gardiners and The Cleaning Warehouse have good models available.

Hi Daren, just starting out and finishing your videos very helpful! One question, how long does it take for the pure water on the window to dry ? Thanks
@Darren-Green
@Darren-Green 5 лет назад
How long is a piece of string? Way too many variables. Internal temperature of the glass. External temperature. Wind. General weather conditions etc. I always tell people it will be dry by tomorrow at the latest.

Hi Darren, greetings from the US. I just want to take a minute to say thank you for your videos and for sharing your knowledge. I’ve been using a XLine 45 ltr. trolley and I do believe that you just solved a problem that I’ve been experiencing... Spotting. I’ve been trying to conserve the limited quantity of purified water by setting the flow meter at 15-20. It think it’s time to crank it up and let the water flow. Do you have any experience with the Xline trolleys? I was wondering... what do you think I should turn my flow meter up to? Thanks again for all you do and for offering your advice. It’s appreciated more than you know.
