Who defines terrorism? just like Leila Khaled, our Lolita Lebron went to US capitol to let them know we are here we exist, Capitol attack 1954, We were call terrorist just like you. Love for Palestina from Puerto Rico.
...and today UKs Keir Starmer leader of the opposition refused to put his name behind a cease fire .... ..perhaps the saddest part for me is that it doesnt even surprise me
I have childhood trauma. im still suffering from 48 years old .id not wish on anyone .bless all the children hearts .there trauma is on a different level .they don't deserve .no child .its very sad thank you .for sharing
I believe the thing that was "wrong" was that Leila's answer was not told to the world. I do believe that Leila Khalid knew that this movie was not about Palestinian support or only the things that would show Leila in a good way. If someone is being a journalist they must ask questions that may be considered rude while they ask it in an unrude manner. I believe the interviewer did that. The interviewer herself felt that she herself was being shameful. Why can't she ask a question that people may be wondering? Let the world see the question and know the answer. I think many people wish that presidents, prime ministers and military leaders would and asked "rude" questions. Let the questions be asked and let the world hear real answers.
@@sugaredwards6207 Palestinians respect Laila to the point of reverence.. The journalist was rude and strangely provocative, as if she was conducting a criminal investigation and not a film with a national icon.
This should NOT be labelled as (Crime Documentary), rather freedom from American sponsored Israeli terrorism. Leila Khaled is a freedom fighter just like all Palestinians! Her heroic deeds will be remembered in history forever. She did a great job! May she be blessed for her avenge. These people fight against apartheid, Israeli terrorism, land grabbing, and oil and gas stealing!
In the 1950s. My Greek great grandfather was tortured to death by the British and my grandmother survived but she had to run to escape rape, and torture and she managed to hide in a well, gashing and breaking her leg on the descent. She died a few years later in my mothers arms. She [said] that she was lucky that Cyprus has the oldest wells in the world. I know that some British people had nothing to do with the British aggression invading our homes and land, but there is still some semblance of hate within me towards them.
British wa going give your home to them, can you imagine if it happened, your people would have been facing the same fate as the Palestinians, by the way my best friend is half Greek.

british and american strategic bombing of WW2 would be considered acts of genocide if they hadn't won the war. and they only refrained from prosecuting germans for strategic bombing despite it already being a war crime by WW2 standards because they they would have been indirectly labelling their own military leaders like arthur harris and curtis lemay as war criminals.
Salute to this lady, a freedom fighter whose story is alive even today as she didn't die, still alive today. We have grown up listening her story of bravery.
Unfortunately her people are still getting massacred by thousands, for their land n their resources, so sad, we do want independence for her people, they have endured far too much 😢 Free Palestine 🇵🇸
This was an age and time when people were idealistic and wanted a better world. Watching how things turned out in the world today, it's sad to see that all their idealism, bravery, deaths and lives were all wasted to feed the greed of a few, on all sides.
It is sad. Your comment is an excellent synopsis of such a complicated situation, intense ideals, on both sides it's hard to discuss it w/out taking sides. Thx for sharing this. ☮️🌍🕊️
The girl ,little naive Sweedish Palestinian journalist of course should be embarrassed for even suggesting Leila gave Palestine a bad name, really? - I guess Leila pitied her for ignorance of the struggle for freedom of Palestine,i must say Leila was very patient and tolerable with her,i have great respect for her-i hope the little girl learnt something about the struggle and how denialism is destroying Israel.
glad to know I wasn’t the only one getting so frustrated at the interviewer! She’s Palestinian but has such limited understanding of Palestinian liberation and resistance
I don’t think she done much wrong. She didn’t kill anyone. She caused a couple hundred innocent civilians trauma but what about hundreds, if not thousands of deaths Palestinian civilians. Palestinians were living their best life until after WW2 and they were chased from their homeland. If that happened in Scotland I’d want to fight for my country too. In my opinion she’s a freedom fighter not a terrorist.
I just watch 911 stories today and it is really difficult for me to read this without wondering how wicked this world has become! She did not cause much harm???
The film producer happened to born another country, even you born another country delved & weighed the concept of resistance Can you now understand why Palestine will never be free? Please share with me your perspective in retrospect of this particular producer?
I will be honest, I agree with everything she said. It’s crazy how Europeans, USA want people that don’t share their idealism or resemble them in any way..follow what they follow they can do as they want AND we should silently take it. Serious entitlement
Then why do some move to countries like the U.S. or Great Britain and try to force their "idealism" on the citizens of their host country? For example; I would never go to any other country and insist that people live as I do. Why go to a country where you hate the culture, religion, or anything? I welcome other cultures and traditions. It's what makes the world interesting.☮️🙏❤️
Cannot judge what you know nothing about. The lengths human beings will go to for basic life and peace can be "extreme" when their daily basis is "extreme"😢 God Bless all humanity ❣️
Agreed. Every person wants happiness, and not to suffer.. it's human nature to want freedom and happiness. We are all equal since we're all human, it is our natural right.
@@jeffreyware7054but, it all depends on how those objectives are obtained. And it also depends on how an individual defines or views freedom and happiness.

The terrible fall out of conflict and wars always cuts wide bloody path through innocent civilians. The air hostess makes it sound like a choice, it is always present. The terrifying cruelty that palestinians go through since then till today. It cant be imagined. To truely understand that anyone labeled "terrorist" is a freedom fighter. That is reality. Those in power terrorize those beneath them. Those with power are always causing terror, not the other way around. What an interesting person leila is.

The history of Palestine is really a tragic and sad event in modern history The Palestinians has suffered and lost their lives and land for freedom..after so many years the West is still denying them the right to self existence. How horrible and selfish the civilized "Europeans" that think it's their God given right to control other countries with war and starvation
I am yet to see a documentry about how britishers invaded Australia and reduced 20 million natives to 50000 .and has only recently given those natives right to be australians .
She is one of the people that inspired me into communism. I love her bravery and commitment so much. The Palestinians deserve to go home and it’s their right to defend themselves and their land by any means necessary.
I hated the last question though.. in arabic the literal translation is " do u realize u put dirt into Palestinian reputation with ur actions? Look when israel blew up the hotel with a british group in it, when they murdered several British politicemen ,bcz they were opposing the agenda, nobody called them terrorists!
Love Leila Khaled - A freedom fighter - a human being with guts - with love for her homeland - compassion for her compatriots. Who actually defines the term terrorism/terrorist? We live in a strange world where some of the Nobel Peace Prize winners in recent years have been Heads of State who have started the most wars in the world and killed the most people, but still received awards and recognition. So it's a matter of point of view! Killing innocent people is always a crime no matter where it happens - BUT occupation is also a form of terrorism that must be fought!
IT IS insane how this world works , one day she is a normal kid taking a picture with her siblings all smiling and happy , the next she just simply become a "refugee" and Palestine becomes the country of "Israel "
@@organizedchaos7504 whether it’s justified or not, it happened. I’m sure whatever country you’re from has or had an indigenous population, displacement of those people by force or lack of opportunities and another population that became the majority. In fact the indigenous people in what’s now Israel are the Jews. So you’ll have ask yourself whether you belong in your country if your ancestors colonised or migrated to that country and if those actions by your ancestors had a negative impact on people who were there before. You might have to move to your ancestral lands in order to not be an oppressor.

So difficult to watch the start of the documentary. Specially after watching the massacre that’s been going on in Gaza for the past 60+ days currently. Palestine will be free. Hopefully in my lifetime🍉🇵🇸✊

Brendan behan, the irish writer, and sometimes revolutionary. Said the terrorist is allways the person with the smallest bomb. I concur with brendan. Leila is a revolutionary!
i read her book years ago and i remember it had quite an impact of me. I've since grown up and realized that taking grenades onboard aircrafts and hijacking them is not an answer to anything.
ok. so now that you've grown up, what would you do that all millions of palestinians didn't already think of and havent already tried for decades since 1920? i will be waiting for an answer on this.
Pilot uri still being biggot and sitting in home Palestinian land, meanwhile lady she's crying bcoz she see tile of accupied home, and being labeled as a terrorist.
who is this watered-down film maker that can't understand Leila's actions?! I wonder if we could ask her how that discreet diplomacy she mentions is working out for the people of palestine? we all know the answer. i hope she does too by now
I think she felt strongly that she was doing something people would aspire to. Unfortunately, it is not always the best or right way to get one's point across.

I have watched Brides of Allah and this documentary in the last few days. No matter how legitimate the Palestinian grievances may or may not be, the indoctrination of children from the day that they are born is inexcusable.
My opinion. She has possibility to make the life in the her country better. But many ambitious person won’t work and make better future step by step. She choose absolutely useless, but bright and dramatic of version. She is very known and it’s all. She didn’t help for her country. This is problem of every terrorists. Death, illiteracy, poverty. But the terrorist leaders have money and live well.
Wonderful question by the interviewer 'why do we (Palestinians) have no jokes about the catastrophe of '48 ?...the Jewish joke about what happened to them' subtle yet seriously brilliant question
Nothing about catastrophe is luxurious & knee jerk reaction, without deeper thought is the way we mostly react in this world (like us(U.S. after 9/11) & Israel (especially now). When you go beyond knee jerk thinking (i.e. 'it is what it is'...) things reveal a whole other aspect we'd been blind to (psychoanalytic, philosophic...).
Jazak allah Good morning This was such an eye opener, To think that this happened so many years ago. I can speak of all the wrong in this world. TODAY and YESTERDAY I was working in a little store when the news came of 911. Man is stubborn , sometimes very stupid and not thinking of the consequences of his actions. Look at today and the destruction that MAN has caused against his fellow HUMAN BEINGS. Who invented the GUN ?, the WEAPONS of destruction ?. Can we blame the cowboy ? as we see in old movies where the cowboy would have a show down with another MAN, with real bullets. In movies. Who invented ACOHOL ?,only for it to banned and yet it was called "MOONSHINE ". Smoking cigarettes is another one that has changed to VAPOR shops after so many people have died and the people they smoke other substances. Then there is the slave trade. Today , I ask the question ARE we civilized ? ALLAH ALEEM. M. TAHA
Very good film by Ms Makbool. She has tried to be as impartial as possible. The last question she asked Leila and the answer to which is never given, gives her stand her on the Palestine-Israel conflict : terrorist attempts are counter-productive to the peace process and inflict pain on innocent bystanders!
