So i'm from ghana and we got this satellite that let us catch etv and i fell in love with the Rythm city show. then i fell in love with the languages and how they mix it with english. And i want to learn at least one south african language. Glad i found your channel!!
Thank you so much for the lessons. A very dear friend of ours is Xhosa speaking and we've had the privilege of hosting him in our home for a month. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, has been AMAZED at this truly beautiful language! And we're all trying to do the clicks.
Oh this is wonderful. Not just your lovely smile but also that Xhosa and other South African languages are getting more international exposure. It makes my souls happy.

Wow! I always heard/read the word 'xhosa' in different parts of writings that spoke of african languages. I always wondered why the 'x' in 'xhosa' and what sound it makes. I never knew about xhosa's beautiful and fascinating 'click' sounds until today! I never knew a languages that a language like this existed! It's so different! I definitely would like to learn it!!!

Cool stuff. While I will not learn to speak Xhosa (no time, no-one to practice with), it certainly motivates me to finish that paper on Southwest Africa which I've been dragging around since May :-)
khaya - enkosi kakhulu!!! i lived in SA (eMonti) for a bit and picked up some xhosa, but since i returned to canada i haven't been able to keep up with it since nobody here speaks xhosa! please keep up the videos!
