100% true. To all those who are aspiring to do masters in CS from an US univ with a non-CS background - do the below before you come: 1. Pick a programming languge and do some decent coding: Java or C++ or Python whatever - online 2. Learn Database concepts and data structure basics - books + online 3. Learn something about computer architecture - from books You will thank me later.
Can quite relate sir.. My first year of MS was horrible. Even from an Electronics background (camhe here in US for MS in Electrical) I struggled. I believe the course structure and material are so in-depth that your brain takes sweet long time to get habituated with it. I still laugh out remembering my nanoelectronics final exams; it was an open-book theoretical paper, still I got traumatised to answer them.. Side note: your videos are so good and inspiring :)
Ma'am, I am getting nervous hearing you as my son is an aspirant for doing masters in electrical engineering. He is now in the final year of Btech ( ELECTRONICS and communication). In USA there is no program only in electronics. Will he cope up ? Please say something. I am from Kolkata, India.
I must say being telgu or south indian you are having good Hindi language skills ....you r really nailing this lang . When you are talking in Hindi seems like you have great accent and dictionary knowledge .words selection or translation are quite accurate ....keep going thanks for sharing all your knowledge🤞
Thank you Sir for creating a video on this rote learning topic. This one is a great insight for me on American education, and I was looking for the same for a long time. I was frustrated during my undergrad in India where need to write answer of 3 pages for 8 marks of a question. This put me on dilemma as I did not want to do the rote learning for masters. I do believe to focus on actual learning and then to apply it for our betterment instead of just filling answer sheets.
Best thing is to plan out your curriculum in advance. It would be even good if you know which courses you want to take before you start selecting universities.
Some of the things are intriguing... Probably because we have always learnt the glittering part of American universities.. that ratta wala part is hilarious.. but yeah overall there's other difference as well.. Thank you for bringing this part to us. Be safe🙂
Sir if I've completed my MS with student debt then how to continue with my PhD from same college/university... I mean will the same institution repay my debt in the form of scholarships or I have to work for few years before staring my PhD(to pay-back the loans)?? Thank You

Instead of motivating students from the last couple of videos I can see that you are trying to demotivate them. There are students who are on urge to fulfill their dreams, struggling to fill the gaps in their life getting away from families and relations just to stand on their responsibilities. My sincere request for you is to stop demotivating dreamers who want to come USA and make their dreams come true.
@@rohitraj-qp3ie Thank you for the feedback. I will post more positive videos as well. But please know that whatever I say in my channel, I want to speak the truth. If the truth is demotivating what can I do? Please watch this video in entirety. You may have missed some key points. Let me repeat the key points: 1. When I came to the US, in my first year some professors focused on rote learning and memorization. I proved it by showing snippets of the exams. 2. I then said, in the second year of masters program things got better and I gained some real practical knowledge. 3. I said, now that I am a professor, I make sure there is no memorization based exams in my class. I emphasize on class exercises and exams. So what I felt was wrong in the system, I am correcting it myself. 4. I also acknowledged that my first year experience was my own individual experience. It cannot be universal. Therefore, I spoke with Harnoor who confirmed that his experience was different. His experience in classroom learning was different and better than mine. Together we concluded that it many a times depends on the professor who is teaching the class. 5. I conclude the video by saying that things have improved over the years. Apart from this, I also have a video on 10 reasons to study in the US. I have a few more videos under work that are more on the negative side but my goal is to be truthful and transparent. That said, your point is well taken. I have some very positive videos in making too. Overall my goal is to give a realistic picture based on my own experiences. Thank you for the comments though
