@@CamoMatrix I am heading out this morning to film a camo comparison video. DD MC v Solognac Furtive. 😁 People keep asking me to do it because the DD has a strong following here and the Solognac is the new kid on the block.

OK, this was just about the best camo comparison I've seen in quite a while. People can say what they want about anything, but this takes the conversation away from the folks that just wanna look good for the gram and gives it to those that want the best option for what they do. Think I'm gonna go with Cipher after watching this- MT elk, deer, antelope, and some MO whitetail & turkey. And hopefully some other stuff, as well!

These are great videos and a great resource when looking into new gear and patterns. We really appreciate the time put into them. I used your videos a couple years ago when I decided to invest into some new gear and wanted a good pattern as well. Ultimately, it found out soon that I wanted the best gear first, then pattern was mainly secondary and preference. I have just one suggestion/addition to the comparisons. After starting with the landscape at a distance, add a shot dropping the gear back into the landscape (as if seeing them from a distance), then zoom in on both to finish. I believe you have done it in previous videos and it would show if the patterns still break up at a distance or just become a blob. Thanks again for all the time and work, keep them coming!

If you can’t tell I’m a fan of specter, not a huge fan of first lite but what are you going to do. Hopefully they will do a better job of getting specter on more products.
Are you asking about the three in this video or of anything available? If it is these three, i have been getting great response about Specter. If it is from anything that is available, that is a tough one because at a distance, many of the good camo patterns can look similar and garment function may be the better choice rather than the camo pattern. It also can get down to price. For example, Sitka SubAlpine at a distance, can be mistaken for TrueTimber Strata and the price difference between these garments will be considerable because of what i like to call garment engineering. @@CamoMatrix I will have my first Turkey hunt in Spring next year in Wyoming/Yellowstone area... Therefore I thought Specter would be the best fit. What do you think?
@@franzfabian4507 Specter is a good all around pattern that was developed for whitetail hunting. While on the east coast (or warmer sections) of the US for turkey hunting it is pretty green but in that section of the country, it can be more brown and make specter a great choice (and the firstlite gear is designed for that type of country). With turkey, I have always made sure my face and hands are covered also so a deceptive face cover may be a wise addition. Good luck! I was just in that area chasing Pronghorn!
Awesome videos! Thanks for putting your time into making these. If you're looking for another comparison option, I'd be very interested in seeing SKRE patterns vs Kryptek patterns. And Kryptek has a newer family of patterns out called Obskura that looks very promising particularly the Obskura Transitional pattern. Also, I think the videos where you move the camo closer and further in reference to the background are a better representation of reality versus where you zoom the background in and out with the camo stationary. Thanks. Looks like Obskura is the next threesome. Yeah, I also think the camo moving is better. Chalk it up to me being lazy! I am trying to work on a video template where the camo will move also in these quick turn around vidoes when I get requests. Soon I hope.

I wouldn't have released it but I don't think I can do all I need to on it to make it the way I want it before hunting seasons starts. It will be get there and the videos will get better.
