Bobby Fischer's game against Boris Spassky at the 1972 World Chess Championship, often referred to as the "Match of the Century," featured several memorable moments.
In Game 6, Bobby Fischer made a bold move by capturing the pawn on h2 with his Bishop against Boris Spassky.

Maybe it was simply plain old over confidence, his results on his way to Boris showed he was 'on a roll' 😉Loved this theme and the way you explained it, maybe do more on past World Champs? A game showing the brilliance of Tal for example, a genius who had his demons, much like Fischer had his.

This was the first game in the match and Fischer had just gotten there after a lot of happenings. I think the pressure of the match against the soviet school of chess made him go wrong. I'm personally surprised that the computer didn't find a way to draw. Very helpful video, thank you .

52 years later I'm still puzzled. A crazy mistake for him to make. I do enjoy looking at these older classic games. ♟️
