Today we are going to do a spotlight on one of my favorite fish. The Purple Tang. Hopefully you learned something from the video! Thanks for watching!! Music by @ikson / ikson
Thanks for the video! Very useful. Quick question; what kind of bristletooth is the purple one with the purple tail with the orange above the eyes? It looks gorgeous but unfamiliar (to me).
Great video! Love my purple tang.. he’s a small guy but he holds his own against my butt head tomini who leaves him alone now when he realized he wasn’t going to run and hide..yours looks beautiful can’t wait to see my little guy turn into what yours looks like..
Great video hows the purple doing with the yellow and sail fin ? All still getting along ? About to put my new purple tang into my 1200lt tank that already has a yellow, sohol, lavender, sail fin, convicts, blue powder, blue hipoo and vlamingi tangs..
A couple of these may help, add the least aggressive fish first, add some of the more aggressive fish in groups of 3 or more at the same time. Like the zebrasomas. Also feeding heavily will help curve some of the aggression as well. Good luck 👍
Sometimes you might nor be able to add the most aggressive last such as in my experience just depending on availability. I added each one late at night ...when all is calmed. Even though the most aggressive is the sohol , I added my sail fin, convicts, yellow tang , blue powder and blue hippo all after the sohol and at different stages ( one by one) no issues all living happy ..but it helps having a large tank. About to add a purple tang tomorrow night
That's a mimic tang, There are a couple different color variations in the juvenile stage as they mimic different fish but I believe their adult coloration ends up being the same.
