Good stuff, Brother. You almost had a red terror before you left your house, but i couldn't catch the little rascal. I put her in an empty 120 to keep her separated from the other fish I've bought over the last two weekends and she was just too fast and elusive for me at 2:45 this morning 😂😂😂
Treasure trove of information right there. I am uber jealous of fancy water container. When I moved to florida from new jersey in 2007, I bought a water dispenser and had all of my fish inside it. I would drain 1 cup of water on every rest stop, add 1 cup of water straight from the tap. Back then we did not have fancy USB air pumps so it was all about opening that lid and adding water. Little tap dispenser made it easy to drain. When I got to florida... moving truck got stuck en route and made it like 3 days later so I kept adding water and draining it. I need to look into having this container thing on hand because it basically answers the question of "how do you get them out". Pretty cool little device.
I was just talking with a friend at the fish swap about how there is so much new / improved equipment in the aquarium hobby now. I used the system in the video again this weekend and it really does make holding fish for multiple days and bringing them home very easy. 😊
Yeah not meant to replace my normal videos, but I want to sneak in some videos sharing specific things I have learned over 40 years of fish keeping. A lot of times I forget that everything is new to somebody at sometime, so hopefully this will be helpful for some folks. 🙂
Great tips. I'm gonna get to the Keystone event someday to meet you in person. Anyway, how do you like those portable airpumps? Do you have an amazon affiliate link?
Hey Phil! Pumps worked great, had both portable aquariums holding fish for multiple days and no issues...all the fish I purchased made it home safely and are in the quarantine system. 😊 (nope don't have an affiliate link)
Great video! Thanks for the education. What fish are you looking to fill the 1200 gallons with? I’m down in SE Virginia. Happy to share some fish to help out.
Thanks! One of the 1200's will be the larger Amazonian Cichlid I already have (Severum, True Parrots, Acara, etc.) the other 1200 will be Amazonian Community fish, so I am looking for fish for that tank....so far I have a group of 15 Sveni Geos I am growing out. Hoping to find some Angelfish I like and see what else I can find. 🙂
Awesome. I have some a few spawns angelfish, electric blue acara (juveniles and adults), L200s adults, bristlenose (juvenile) and discus fry if you’re interested. If so, let me know the best way to contact you and I’ll reach out.
@@davidramsaur1984 Can you shoot me an email to adog@aquariumdomain.com so I have your contact info and when I get a little closer to stocking those tanks we can get in touch. 😊
