Today we are back with one of the craziest videos I think I have probably ever shot. On our last day out here on Devils Lake, North Dakota we found a school of big walleyes and they were all fired up! In the short amount of time we fished we caught a bunch of BIG walleyes up to 30 inches in length. It was a crazy school with a whole bunch of doubled up action. I have always told everyone who would listen that you are a savant and the best fisherman I have ever seen since I started watching your videos years ago. But that was your first time there. How do you pick apart 44,000 acres of water? Humps, points, weed lines, water depth you feel is right for this time of year? Do you look at your map and just where to go? How much do you attribute to luck? Fabulous vid! Keep those videos coming. I have learned so much from you!

That was an incredible video. I've fished Devils Lake a lot and had some mind blowing fishing but I have never seen anything like that for size. Probably the best walleye fishing video I have ever seen.

As many have already said, awesome day of fishing! Very impressive that it was your first time fishing Devil's Lake as well. What makes it even more impressive to me is that you captured it on video for all of us to see. Lol, good fishing always seems to be fire on the last day when you're leaving. Happened to us on Sunday night. Fish after fish, mixed bag of walleye, pike and wb all on the same wind blown point on the weed edge. What a morning fishing of a trophy school of eyes with the pops!

Yes 👏 yes we want you to come back to Nodak I have been using your tactics in 3 different states now and you have put me on fish all year from ice fishing to now open water but my son and I have been somewhat limited to shorelines and kayaks we need to buy our first boat but nonetheless Tom you got us hooked up still without having a boat we getting it done ✅ I can’t wait to share with this channel when we get our 1st boat with side imaging

I think all around it was a good weekend of fishing. I was in Itasca county in MN. Pulled up 30ish smallies through out the day just spot locking and pitching. I couldn't get a walleye until 11PM then is was like catching sunnies. Pulled up 15 in a few hours. A majority over 20". On top of that got a 36 inch northern on accident. Threw them all back except for a couple eaters. Like you said just an epic weekend. A lot of the strategy I was using came from your videos so THANKS TOM! What are some of your general go to principles for mid day super clear lakes when the walleyes just aren't biting?

That's it..I'm going to get some of those big walleyes in the Columbia River where I live. I kept hearing you say Big for inland lakes. I know we get them that size over here but awesome morning. I fish salmon/ steelhead, but that looks like a hell of a lot of fun. You got me psyched. I LOVE fishing. This is the first summer I've had with no boat in years, new Alumaweld coming October. ND is all about what the water levels are going. If they are rising those big fish will be in the shallows in the weeds. But if the water is falling they will be where you are getting them. Typically I always target the old shoreline this time of year. It's about in the depth you were fishing. The walleyes use the old shoreline like highways on devils lake. I've had a couple days like you had and it's unbelievable.

I haven’t fished Devils Lake but I know guys that do. My advice is to spoil your gear and head west Tom. Some great fishing there. Great video.

I live about 4 hours from Devils Lake and have never fished it but going to need to make a point to get there this summer. Mainly Fish Lake Sakakawea and some of the smaller Lakes in Southwestern North Dakota

Awesome video!!! I have fished Devil's lake many times but only through the ice. Lots of walleye and perch, but never have I seen fish like this!! I knew they were there, but never found them. I know several guides on that lake and they don't produce fish like you caught. Great job!!

If you're into catching big fish and fisheries with lots of different species and opportunities to catch a lot of bigger fish in all of those species, you'll love Peck. Definitely worth a trip. I know Tom would be hooked if he came out and tried it too.

Funny I’ve been fishing here for 11 years every weekend all summer and have yet to catch a fish above 26 inch and I caught it in my kayak, it’s the way we fish, for numbers and meat, I’d like to get into the bigger fish yet I don’t know what to do, because pitching shallow can consistently catch bigger fish then trolling and pulling but you catch maybe one fish all day.
