Dad and I went fishing until I was around 12. It was always a lot of fun. He has really enjoyed the fishing we’ve been doing this year. We haven’t caught anything yet, but we will eventually. 🎣🎣🎣

I casted better sitting down then standing up , lol . Wish we could have seen more of mr. gator . Bummer he wanted to hid . Blue berry picking is fun . Thank you for showing us your berry bushes. Your mom looked so at home picking them . That strawberry/lemonade variety sounds interesting. I didn't realize that there were other varieties out there other than the blueberry. I didn’t know anything about the strawberry lemonade blueberries until I was watching a channel that we enjoy out of the Smoky Mountains. I looked it up and they do exist. Mom really enjoys picking her blueberries. I help a little, but she mainly picks them while I’m at work. We have enjoyed the fishing this year. I hadn’t fished in over 30 years, but it has been a lot of fun. 🎣🎣🎣
A couple of people don’t like the fishing in the videos, so that’s why I say at the beginning of the video now that if you don’t like the fishing to skip over that part. I don’t have a salt water license, so mom or dad would have to do that on video since they have their lifetime license now. A lot of people fish at Edisto Beach State Park at the shoreline, and tons of people fish off the pier at Myrtle Beach State Park. 🎣🎣🎣
Thanks for peaceful beauty of nature video...that turtle was neat, he was almost too big for that log. Those are some fabulous looking blueberris...huge...those bushes must be old. You probably dont even need to fertilize them. People grow them here in Florida and there are a couple U picks near me, but the soil is sandy and I think needs to be acidic, or else you have to treat it with acidifiers and add fertilizer on top of that. I grow a Valencia orange tree in my back yard, and Ihave to fertilize that each year or I wont hardly get any oranges. I am guessing those sleeves your Mom is wearing is part of protective clothing for picking. To eat I prefer blackberries, but will eat blues also. Make some pie or jam sounds good.
The older blueberry bushes are probably about 15 to 20 years old. We keep planting new ones off of the older ones, so the amount of bushes grow each year. They don’t have any kind of fertilizer or pesticides on them. Mom does wear those sleeves to protect her arms because she is on some medication that leaves her with bruises if she gets the slightest touch from anything. I’m sure that you have noticed how bad her arms look in the videos. She picked the first blueberries without the sleeves, and discovered that wasn’t a good idea. We usually make some blueberry cobblers or shakes with the blueberries that we have left over.
