My school chum of 50-odd years ago and I used to fish at Loch Long. We'd get the Oban bus from Clydebank. I can't tell you the joy these fishing trips meant to us. My chum was William Kennedy, last heard of in Drumchapel, Glasgow. I would give anything to be able to contact him. I have a basketful of apologies for what happened on 31 October, 1971. Wullie was my best friend. If anyone knows of his whereabouts, I would be mighty pleased to be put in contact with him. All the best
Hi there sorry to bother you watched a few of your videos on loch long and was hoping you could point me in the right direction. I have only ever sea fished for big species abroad but we are going away for a few days to fish loch long and I can't find any where to get advice on what hooks, bait, line and lures etc are best to use. I was hoping you could give me some advice. Cheers
Hope you have a good couple days mate. If you are bait fishing look up on youtube how to do a weight and a hook dropshot rig and use bait like ragworm, lugworm, sandeel, mackerel strips etc. If you are spinning you could use a normal spinner lure or use a jelly lure with a 8g jighead or even heavier.
Hi mate sorry thats me just replying. We were down at a place Aridentinny it was a nightmare trying to find where to fish and where not to. Information was very scarce about that and Holy Loch. Had a blast though unfortunately no fish lol but again thank you so much for all your help. Will try it again soon.
Ibby Sky it's across from the big white hotel on the loch, when you are driving along the bumpy Arrochar road look for a bridge with a layby right next to it
ML Fishing thanks. Yeah, I was fishing on that road last night and caught a nice wee codling. Looks like it’s at a bridge of some sort on the road, where a mountain stream passes underneath?
@@macindoe I think that's is the hotel at Ardgartan your right, I think you were at the right spot because there is a bridge with a little stream that flows in to the loch.
