Fishing Catalina Island on the Pursuit! 

First trip back after all the pandemic quarantine! I went with a couple of buddies on the Pursuit out of 22nd Street Landing. Capt John and crew did a great job all day with the safety protocols and putting us on fish. Bait were sluggish so picking the right bait was critical to getting bit. Fishing was scratchy so we all had to work for every bite. I got lucky with one of the 4 yellows landed. My buddy got another yellow for JP. Everyone went home with fillets on a beautiful day! Great group of guys fishing! Great meeting you, Isaac. Hope to run into you on future trips! Enjoy everyone!

I just came back from the Freedom. I suck at fishing, just started up last year, i've only ever fishing creeks and lakes, freshwater species, and I'm from Long Beach, lol. Fishing these yellowtails and other saltwater species is fun and some great eating. Getting my practice in this year again, trying to get better at it.

Crazy how everyone is crowded in the back.. do you think its perception or people actually catch more there?

Went on that boat about a month ago, the skinny little cook on that boat is a real jerk. Almost makes you feel like you are bothering him being there to ask him for anything.
