When I was a kid, I had a very odd dream and for whatever reason I've just never forgot it. It was like in the Renaissance area and the King was a sort of competitive fisherman. And at the tournament, I could see a man swimming under the water and was grabbing these really big fish and hooking them on the kings lures. I started telling people what I saw but was arrested and shackled to a talking goat who sounded exactly like Danny Devito. Up until now I thought the idea of someone putting lures in a fishes by hand was something that just existed in my own head lol

The sport of fishing should be sponsored by politicians. They both are about as honest. Not saying all are bad but the ones at the top of the game know how to hustle and that goes for judges as well

I remember this well - FLW put their sposors over the anglers. You are correct FLW sponsors would have bailed and not invest in a sport of cheating. They were not drums they were huge plastic bins. Randy Blauket's channel covers this in pretty good detail.

The law needs to change and put these cheaters in prison for a minimum of 3 years.

I know of a bloke here in Australia that won 3 boats in 3 seperate carp fishing competitions by keeping the big carp he caught through the year in a pond and fattening them up . Then making out he caught them in the competition.

From what I have heard and read he used FLW's rules against them as what he was doing wasn't spelled out to be against the rules. Another reason why rules for the things we enjoy are so long and complicated normal people cant understand them.

He fishes Jon Boat Clubs now. Well..... one of them. Most Jon Boat Clubs won't tolerate a cheater. But one will. In fact..... he just showed up to a tournament with a different club this past Saturday (5/20/2023) in Athens, Ga. and asked if he could fish. They didnt know him ftom Adam so of course they let him. Guess who..... "won it?" When they found out a couple days later who he was the tournament officials were ashamed and pissed off to say the least. True story. But he still has a home club he fishes with. And so will the walleye cheater boys someday.

He technically never broke the rules, however did break state wildlife laws. He won the All-American which is messed up. He did reappear in GA fishing a few big bass tournaments. He cheated over 2-3 years though. In the BFL and then FLW. They get caught because they're so greedy. The guy won 5 of the 7 BFLs.

His vanishing away like is described to me says that was part of the deal so to speak. I have heard of that before, where guys go out with fish in drums, then drop them in places, next day is tournament, they go hit their drums. That and the shoving weights down their throat are the only ways iv ever heard of.

Anglers were obviously furious about the Tony Christian incident as they are with this current walleye incident. What anglers don't seem to understand is tournament organizations have far more to lose if they take these cheaters to court and it comes out that the defendant successfully cheated in tournaments put on by the organization before they got caught. Then the organization can get sued by every participant that cashed a check below the cheater. If the cheater admitted to cheating in multiple events it could cost the organization tens, or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, and don't think for a second the lawyers of the defendants don't understand this and use it to their client's advantage. Unfortunately most organizations are not going to prosecute people that cheat in their tournaments to the full extent of the law. Not to mention the fact that tournament organizations are embarrassed when someone cheats in one of their tournaments. One tremendous rule flaw in the current walleye cheating scandal was the anglers were allowed to take home the fish they weighed (and weighted) in. If the dead fish were donated to a food bank or something the large weights would have been discovered the first time they did it!

Funny I go fishing to get away from politics and people. I just want to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Hearing these stories of people putting weights into fish and bins under docks, sponsors, tournament directors not only sounds like politics but also people I worked with in my job. People trying to get ahead by lying, false narratives, mischaracterizations, anything to get promoted and now it's in fishing, my God!! I love to hunt as well and like to get as far away from people as I can. From reading these stories, it won't be long before we here that some famous Hunter raised some deer with huge antlers, walked him out in the Forrest and shot him, just so he could get it in the books. Hell, look at all the hunters that raise food plots, practically guard the deer, shoot only five year olds, and literally hunt a field specifically placed to feed deer. Sorry folks, but this is so far from true hunting. They have rooms full of big bucks? Probably have sponsors of all sorts from food plot seeds, automatic feeders, deer stands to who knows what? It's time to step back and ask yourself why you hunted or fished? To compete, make money or to be out in nature doing what you love with a passion no one could understand? Ninety percent of the people who know me can't figure out why I want to be out in the freezing cold, the rain, wind and elements just to hunt a deer or catch a fish. I guarantee you it's not to compete, make money, or build a trophy room. The love of fishing and hunting goes so much deeper, that it's almost Spiritual. I know there are some of you who know exactly what I'm talking about.

If he didn’t get greedy he would have gotten away with this once maybe twice a year. It was a co angler that turned him in.

There is a rule in the MLF that states no one is allowed to put artificial structures in the body of water prior to the tournament and its probably because of stuff like this that has happened

Pathetic what money can do to people. Causes some to cheat and causes others to be taken by cheaters. It should be outlined in a signed contract signed by anglers who enter these tournaments. That way a court case would be an easy win. This would make anglers think too.

It’s sad how Bass fishing is the most cheating sport. I never thought in my life that Bass fishing would become the way it has. When I was a teen, I bragged about how clean and professional the bass master was now I look at it as a sport only and all sports are mint to be played. It’s all a game and a joke.

We need to do away with all tournaments. Not good for the fish, environment and other people that only fish 1 time a week. You can't fish on the weekends and not 100 bass boats flying past you wide open about 10 yards from you. Your boat gets rocked every 10 mins. No respect, no morals. No wonder they cheat. All those high end electronics, that's cheating by itself.

Hold up let's get this straight. He didn't just join the flw tour. He had to qualify through the bfl. He won four bfl's his first year and qualified for the All-American on the mobile Delta. Because he had qualified for the All-American and done so well in his first year on the bfl's that also qualified him for the ever starts at the time which was their Semi-Pro tour just like the opens are today for the elite series. He won the mobile Delta All-American by a landslide which was very very suspicious. And yes he went on to win several tournaments and had several top 10s. The man did cheat to get there and he cheated in the mobile delta lt the tournament. He is a scumbag

Tournament fishing has ALWAYS been tongue in cheek and everybody knows that. Deceit and cheating very simply come with the territory always have always will. This event will change little. This thing of everybody acting all surprised this is something out of the ordinary, are making fools of themselves. It's been my experience with fishing tournaments its all about tire kickers. Everybody stands around talking about their boats and who has this and who has that. Fortunately for all the cheaters in tournament fishing other than a handful of bumfucks they're competing against, nobody else cares.
