Lee fishes the Eucumbene RIver in the lead up to winter to target big brown trout. This episode has information and tips on river fishing with lures in fast & slow moving water.
We target big browns in Eucumbene all year round even during the closure(in the lake). It just seems to me targeting big browns during the run is a bit too easy, and a bit of a cop out. If I caught a 10lb fish during the spawn run I'd feel cheated, but whatever floats your boat. On a lighter note, your video skills are superb. So why is there a closed season for spawn runners. Do you think 100's of fisho's targeting spawn runners don't have any impact on spawning success and recruitment, or you don't you consider this, its a valid question...
I live in Italy. In 1986 I fished this river. It was wonderful. They caught up to 70 trout a day. They were trout like the ones in the video. Almost all around 50 centimetres. But don't they grow bigger?
@@Blinkeebill always someone who refuses the truth behind knowing how to get trout and struggling like a pleb unwilling to learn. If you want a hard day for 4 fish, keep throwing lures at fish that aren't there to eat 😏 No-one is putting anyone down its fact, It's struggle city on trout with spin and lure. That won't ever change. No point sinking a fly to snapper in 30m of water so why throw lures to breeding fish that hold in 2 foot of pocket water for a rest with a 1 meter retrieve. Doesn't make sense. Take it or leave it in ya gumboot ebay waders my guy
@@fishingwithsofthands9096 on eucombene I Czech nymph only that time of year, people with indicators are struggling if you want them you need to be on the bottom. Tag dropper and point fly 30-45cm apart, pending flow and depth anywhere between 1 and 5bb split shot, tight line nymphing is the only way I would fish that system in may
Leave the Eucumbene spawners alone, they get pressured all year round in the lake, let em be and challenge yourself to catch a 10lb when they are actually feeding, no skills here
So you're saying to leave them alone but also go challenge yourself when they are actually feeding, but they get pressured all year round.........they eat flies readily on their spawn run, unless everyone is 'snagging' them.....
