Fishing for a Catfish on MEAT & Carp on Bread. Graeme draws on his huge stock of films to give everyone a bit of a distraction in these times of crisis and lockdown...He drops a film from a trip when all he had to go on was an old timer hunch that the fish would feed with an incoming low pressure system. He had just an afternoon to see if his hunch was right, but he ended up getting fish after fish and using two totally different techniques. One was freelining a chunk of luncheon meat about 2 feet out from the bank, the other was using a waggler float and bait as complicated as a piece of bread...did our boy catch ???...Better watch the film to find out...Enjoy

I love your old-school'ness, your methods and gear is what I was taught 40 years ago, on and by a wonderful gentleman called Keith Halshaw (R.I.P). I still use his/your methods to this day and on a good day I do the same as you, I leave the guys with all the gear and no idea, standing on the bank with their dry nets !! Out of Town I watched as a kid...How peaceful were those films in a world full of a lot less worry (and no global warming weather problems). So different now. I just try to do my bit as I'm caught in a sort of 50's and 60's fishing time warp.

Thanks for another great video to pass the time. You mentioned about Bury Hill and a night session. I remember you had an amazing Bream session, Before you started your night session and spotted that bait boat that lit up like a Christmas tree. I hope to see the the Bream session soon. 😀 As you can’t go fishing, this is the next best thing. 👍

Last season, i had more carp off the surface than any other season fishing boilies off bottom. 16 carp ranging from 5lb through to 20lb within two three hour sessions. the bait...Pedigree chum, chicken tasty bites. Come in two sizes, squishy, solid, hair rig perfectly, last ages in the water and cast really well too. Get on em this summer. Carp love em

Nothing wrong with that held back gem. That hour or so shot past so fast that I wish it was 2 hours. That’s the first time I’ve seen cat fishing and boy do they put up a decent scrap. I remember we used to catch a really smooth fish I think it’s called a tench I’d love to see one of those again.

The best thing about Friday's is TA Fishing. The worst thing (now) is that watching Graeme always makes me want to go fishing the next day. Wishful thinking maybe, but I'm hoping we'll be back fishing sometime in June.

4:30 Graeme, i think if all goes well this year, if we're all back fishing this summer, take a visit on a warm weekend to pondwood and try to find an empty swim. whenever i travel down to London I always pay them a visit and have a catch up and I'm never surprised that it's always full. I fished it many years ago in the winter and it was full of carp anglers then. but like you say you where fishing during the week, i wish i could fish it when its that quiet. all the best Graeme. keep the content coming.

I have been thinking exactly the same. Especially the fat carp waters....they must wonder whats happened to the cascade of boilies. I wonder if fishery managers will have to start feeding them with commercial feed ? Anyone heard what happens at the big fish waters ?

I also love learning your old-style methods; lately I’ve been catching more carp and buffalo (I’m in Dallas, Tx) on sweetcorn than anything else. I still have and use some old popups and boilies, but they aren’t worth the cost to me, over here...👍🏻
