Central Florida has some killer fishing. Idk if it's considered central but I stayed in Lake Placid FL for a bit and caught a handful of huge Bass. The biggest Bass of my life. If you live close to Lake Istapoga I highly recommend you fish it. If you have fished it then you probably know it holds bigs. 🎣🇺🇸🎣

I’ve caught my only crappie so far on a full sized scout, and he was a mondo! (15” 1.65 lbs) Sure enough I put him in the grease and I’m “hooked” . Keep up the awesome vids man

Cant fight them crappie like you do a bass. Got to be easy with them. They won’t throw your hook like a bass does. They just float up and ski to the boat. 😂 great video

I was fishing a reservoir in Virginia years ago. Going for stripers. Throwing a 6 inch swimbait. First bite was an 18 inch crappie . 4 lbs 2oz. Next cast 19 inch 4 lb.5 oz. Crappie. Then it was over. I kept trolling around that spot throwing my swimbait for another hour . Nothing more. Those 2 made an awesome mount on some driftwood. It was pure luck. I'm sure I'll never get a bigger one.

Great video. I remember catching a big 3 pound crappie on a rattletrap in a farm pond years ago. I was out on a float tube fishing for bass and tossed the rattletrap just passed a single stump and BOOM!

I like to fish barbless. Less damage to the fish and more sporting. But if I was hunting for a three pound Crappie I would want a barb and if I'm fishing for food I may use a barb. Great vid LFG.

I feel your pain. Last year I lost my PB, prob. 2.25-2.5# had a mouth like a 32oz beer can. It was on the bed and just swam my lure out. It haunts me daily. Keep up the great Vids

Awesome vid as always ! The males are what your catching off the trees mostly black with there spawning colors, the larger females like the ones you found off that point are roaming in schools waiting to move into the beds that the males are making, they act a lot like bass

Great vid lfg. Just some friendly info. Male crappie both in black and white are the ones that get really dark during the spawn. It's called getting there tuxedo on. The females stay lighter in color. keeping there normal colors basically.

Still no crappie here around KCMO, think we caught them all last year...caught an 8lb walleye, a 12lb channel cat, and a 4lb large so far though! Haven't seen anyone else catch a fish if that says anything lol. Surface temp is still 56F here in Blue Springs, MO.

I’ve caught three crappie 4 to 4.03 and including those three 21 3+ pounders and every single one of em we’re hanging with 13 to 15 inch fish. I’ve got a lot of taxidermy crappies lol.
