There we go. Send me some rain brother man. I gotta come up there and personally shake your hand and check out some of those rivers. Our early runs are non existence, and unfortunately our whole runs haven’t showed up in quite a few years. Unless I travel a ways north. But even my go to coastal rivers were empty as well.
There was a few, not as much as usual, but they just weren't on the bite for me. Then the other river i fish for coho, that ive made a couple videos on, i must've had bad timing. I heard from some other guys that fished it and said it was good up there. I'm glad steelhead season is here lol
For me i would have kept that small buck. Fresh and one less small fish breeding. The size affects the returns generally speaking. Smaller fish breeding is smaller fish coming back
That is true. I didn't think of that i guess. This year seems to be a pretty small run (size wise). One of my buddies caught a 14lb fish opening day. Other than that, they've all been pretty small fish
