In this episode, we target one of Victoria's largest fish the mighty Southern Bluefin Tuna, with unparalleled speed, power and beauty. We venture down to the south coast, renowned for giant barrel tuna. We fish from Portland although you can also catch these massive fish around Port Fairy, Port MacDonnell, closer to the heads of Port Phillip Bay and beyond.
Rigged with big heavy game gear including Tiagra 50w we marvel at the volume of dolphins, seals and gannets and work our way through some challenging easterly winds to catch a 100kg southern bluefin Tuna.
