Our mission in this episode was to catch monster inshore jack crevalles that hang out at the local docks. Our day started off catching bait. After nearly four hours of throwing cast nets, Max and I had accumulated enough bait to start fishing the docks. Once we set up and started chumming, it only took a few minutes for the monsters to find our baits.

Yes I caught my first jack off the pier in my city and it was probably around 5 pounds, I was very surprised about how hard it fought for being so small.

FaZe Carrickboi ! Well when fishing out in the ocean half a pound is nothing. I highly recommend fishing in the ocean it's so fun. I enjoy it much more than lake fishing. Even fishing from piers is fun you can some pretty good and interesting fish that doesn't taste too bad.

When you're tangled up in the docks like that you can't tell if it's the fish or the snag. I used to fish big cats in South Carolina and they do the same thing. Hook them and they run in the nearest snag.

Brian Bales I have fished for both. Plugging for a 30 lbs jack on a reef is the same exact fishing as popping for GT. Only difference is location.

Here in Australia, we call jacks golden trevally. And we have mangrove jacks, like a mangrove snapper, but they taste great and they fight waaaayyyyyy harder than jack crevale

it's the internal rear teeth at the back of their throats that they grind together. All Jacks/Trevally species do it...when they are threathened for communication to eachother.

That was a beautiful Jack you got. Quite often they are banged up since the move fast and fight hard. Do you ever eat them ? We used to eat smaller barracuda once in a while too. They taste great, but can contain mercury. What do you think?

Handling a pissed off cuda can ruin your day in a nanosecond he gets his teeth into you. I would caution against posing with them like you do. It's a good way to have to be medivaced by a helicopter.
