I fished there back in ‘98. Never caught one. Ended up catch “humpies” a few weeks later

I have watched people fish at this spot when I lived in Alaska. They should fly to Saint Marys and fish the Andreski river .

We definitely prefer to fish in more remote areas when we can!

I want to vacation to alaska. Where would be the best place to go to catch a lot of salmon?

Thats why you spend the extra time and go further into the Kenai or Montana creek. you aint catching anything in a 60 mile radius of anchorage.

Going to Alaska there in July, but I don’t want to use rod. What should I use?
@wanderblest
@wanderblest Год назад
I don't think there are any options for non-residents to fish without a rod - residents can participate in subsistence with dipnets and fishwheels. You can read the regulations at adfg.alaska.gov 🙃

@@wanderblestsorry, I meant roe, not rod.
@wanderblest
@wanderblest Год назад
@@Simpleman0377 that makes more sense 😅 for silvers and kings, we also use vibrax spinners (number 5 or 6 typically)
@Simpleman0377
@Simpleman0377 Год назад
@@wanderblestthank you so much, I’m going to buy those spinners and use them in early July, but do the kings stay until mid July or do the silvers come in?

I would not eat fish that close to Anchorage or the military bases... Just food for thought 😆

We’ll I guess it’s a good thing I haven’t caught anything there yet 🤷🏼‍♀️🤪😅

The fish are coming in via Cook Inlet, via Gulf of Alaska, via Pacific Ocean. They are not spending that much time near the military bases…

Lil boy if it wasn’t safe to eat the fish that was there wouldn’t you think it would be shut down by now?🤣
@MsH907
@MsH907 10 месяцев назад
@edgarcorona5419 1. I'm not a little boy 2. No, they would still let people eat it. "THEY" don't care about us. 3. I have talked to local scientists who monitor the toxicity levels in the fish around AK. I trust them more than an ignorant fool on the internet. 4. You can Google the massive amount of federal spending that gets sent to Alaska and other areas to clean up toxic biohazards in our waterways caused directly by military.

Lmao "fishin" isnt the word to use there. Its called snagging! Not one float can be seen in the entire video. 😂

Plenty of people with bobber set ups and tons of spin-n-glos - as you can see getting tangled in this video lol
