My brother and I spent the morning trying to catch a few kob in the surf with lures. even though we had good conditions we struggled to get bites. AJ eventually managed to convince one to eat his lure.

Nice Video. Dam that Daiwa Saltist MQ that AJ is fishing with is stunning. They are beyond smooth. But all round nice tackle used. Awesome spot you guys were fishing. That is a perfect structure. The fish just were not there otherwise you guys would have got good couple. Shot for the awesome footage and all your hard effort Xander. You really do a load of effort. Keep it up.

awesome video and great work to your brother on landing a kob on the lure. its definitely not an easy form of fishing especially with heavier setups from the shore but so rewarding wen you finally hook/land that one fish after hours of trying and casting.

Amazing video oom......My grootste kabeljou was op n pienk en chartruse Mccullem paddle tail by6 Witsand en hy was 18+ kg, ons het hom daardie aan gebraai, en van die vleis vir sushi gebruik..STYWE LYNE oom :)

Hi mate love your channel, only one thing you dont eat enough of what you catch i as a chef would love to see you or even your wife cooking what you catch, it makes things a little more interesting. I watch from afar, i am South African working in Thailand if you decide to cook a little more i will send you some spices i make here to make your cooking side interesting. Namibia paaltjies South of Walvis baai december 2021 kob run on a wit paddle 6' 1.5oz jighead 1st was 1st for me and the only one ive caught but guys arou d me also cashed in on the spinning setups.

Lekker Zander. dit is Amaizing om een van die video's te kyk op Art Lure in die see. my eerste Kabeljou wat ek gevang het was op art lure by mile 8 buite Swakopmund.op n swart 5'' McArthy lure drop shot. volgende op die ' Bucket list ' is fly fishing vir Galjoen en Kabeljou by paaltjies buite Walvis. het n idea vir n bloed wurm vlieg wat ek will probeer. Probeer Madcatch se 6inch bumpshad.. Jy sal nie spyt wees ni.. Hul gooi beter as enige ander paddletail opi mark en groot stert gee baie vibrasie!! Di 7inch mermaidstail kan mens op n 1,5oz kop sit en met 9ft gooi en werk soos bucktail.. Baie goed vi kob en leeries!!

@Zoo Look Fishing hey have you tried the new twin power sw yet? Also what size would you say a 10,000 size shimano is in Penn size? around 7500?? thanks

hi, the 10k twiner is closer is size to the 6500 but has more line cap it is just a more compact reel but saying that it takes a little less line than the 7500, I have caught some serious fish on the 10k and have seen some epic fish on it too! especially when you use a 14k spool on it.
