It’s great to see the quality of the lagoon coming back. As Justin said we can not get complacent. We need to be attending city and county meetings and making sure they are paying attention to water quality issues. From the perspective of not only an avid angler but running a bait and tackle directly on the north end of the lagoon I have seen some great improvement in the fishery in the past 2 years. The snook population has also exploded better than I have seen in over a decade.

Nice to see our lagoon getting some love. Shes come a long way over the past few years. Still a long way to go though.

amen friend, it's a long hard job, but saving this beauty is worth EVERY second. Cheers and any help you can give to the lagoon is needed 🤙

Been using the trick shotz in the lower Mosquito Lagoon for going on a year. These things are money! I’ve been throwing these almost exclusively for reds and snooks. The other is the Kicker Crabs. Both on videos I’ve seen from CA. You’ve made me such a better angler!

I LOVE Mosquito Lagoon (really all of Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral, etc), it's such a shame what's happened but it's so amazing to see all the hard work being done to restore it! Anything we can do as the public to help would be great to know!! Cheers and tight lines 🎣🤙

How would a vet find one of these charters?

@@NoleYakin There are multiple guides for the lagoon. Which one is best for you depends a lot on the style of Fishing you would like to do. If your focus is Fly/light tackle Justin Price ( Right in Sight charters is an excellent choice). If you wish to fish more of a fly/ light tackle/live bait mix. Capt Nathaniel Lemmon(Florida Sight Fishing) Or Captain Patrick Rude (spotntail Charters). All three of these guides really do an excellent job and are on the more modern side of the fishing guide industry not so much meat hunters but more educating and typically more technical guides. If your looking more for keeping multiple fish with a live bait focused approach. Captain David Roberson charters or Capt Joe Catigano (mosquito lagoon fishing) Capt Catigano is also an avid bird watcher All of these guides can do any of the types of fishing you want some just are more tuned one way over the other. Make sure to let them know if you have a specific focus of fishing style and listen to their feedback on how that style or technique will work at the time you wish to fish. Remember they are on the Lagoon regularly and know what the fish are doing so being flexible will provide more opportunities for caught fish. These are just my personal observations so give a few a call and see what they can do for you. A day on the water with any of these guides would be enjoyable.
