Never have tried that, from the rocks its tough because the swell drags you in and out. Calmer days are much better. A bobber with a live bait would be fun.

Thanks! It was really hard to tell it was so far down there. I thought maybe it was a black too! I got out there just before the crazy storms!

@@DDFishingCo good thing you managed to flip the poor guy into the water at least! Fishermans Life caught his PB black there and I've seen numerous other folks get some sizable blacks/blues too, they are definitely around

@@lingcod I didn’t want to leave the fish hanging! If it was a black it was a pretty good sized one. That fish was fairly far away and looked good size!

@@DDFishingCo Dude, nope. Not for a lack of trying either. I've been trying to go kayak fishing but can't find anyone to take me. I did find a guy with a boat who's a Marine at the base and I tentatively scheduled a February 4th trip. It's not like I can't find a charter but they're crazy expensive. Since I'm with the government the guy at the Marine base is giving me a discount. I'm super excited to go catch some tuna.. There's a bunch of other fish like mahi and fish I can't pronounce. I'm here until the 1st of March.

Yep it was Christmas, it’s been wild out on the ocean lately no chance I could have even have gone to this spot!
