Check out a day in the life of a brisling fisherman. The spectacular Norwegian fjords are a pretty nice place to work. For more King Oscar videos, please visit the videos page of the King Oscar website: www.kingoscar.c...
Steve1989MREInfo i have Always enjoyed watching your videos dude! Crazy that I found you here in this random sardine video 😂. These truly are the very best from all the rest!
I literally lick my fingers and get sad after going through the 28 little sardines in the can. I need these at least once or twice a week. King Oscar S. will make you feel like a CAT lol
When I eat a tin of these sprat I always think of the Norwegian fjords! Also, I didn't know that they were hand packed - thanks for posting this video!
This was mad cool. I love the small, two layer sardines from KO. I am totally blown away by the location where the sardines were caught and... watching the employees actually packing those small fish into the cans..
I just had a can of these. So good. Wondered how they got to my plate and found this video! Thanks for the great sardines, and this excellent video too.
Just enjoyed a KO sardines sandwich. Mixed in finely chopped onion, hot pepper, tomato, garlic powder and salt. Toast bread, then mayonnaise both sides. Spread the sardine mix on the bread and squeeze lemon juice on the sardine mix. close the sandwich cut in half and enjoy.
Thank you guys so much for this great quality of fish . I love eating my King Oscars mm . You can tell these sardines are of a finer quality by the workers precision. && I can tell by the taste that it is packaged with love . Yummmmmmmm
The only sardine brand I will buy. They cost a bit more than the other brands here but are a totally different food. Never had a single fish taste bad, never dry or old tasting like other brands. I was about to give up on sardines after bad batches from other brands (even brunswick) now I have found these I will never buy anything but. I get the bristling in oil and in extra virgin olive oil, they are the only type my supermarket carries.
In my opinion, thee BEST sardines, double layer with extra virgin olive oil, that are on the market. Only problem is, they're a tad bit expensive from where I live. As for where I live, I live in the state of Pennsylvania which is located in the U.S.A. A can of King Oscar Double layer with extra virgin olive oil will cost about $2.99 USD in October 2020..
I wanted to see footage of the skipper saying "no, no" and ordering the crew to pack up the nets. To imply they were super selective about which fish they net!
I've never tasted a sardine, but from my research folks say King Oscar's the best. I'm tempted to give it a try. I like canned tuna, if there's any similarity.
Definitely a similarity in terms of that nice fishy flavor. Check out the channel “canned fish files with Matthew Carlson”… really good content on all kinds of fast fish.
The Norwegian caught and tinned sardines are excellent. The ones canned in Poland and send to the southern hemisphere are not as nice. The quality change when they opened the Polish plant. The sardines from KO that are not caught and tinned in Norway don't taste as good as they used to be in the old days.
+Ade Larsen I agree. The original Norwegian King Oscar extra fine double layer packed in sild sardine oil were the best. The ones packed in sunflower oil from Poland are OK, ...just. The Polish packed in tomato sauce ones aren't as good as the Norwegian processed ones were either.
I'm a big fan of your products, but I'm a little disapointed in this video. I really wish I could play it in 1080p resolution, but you've uploaded it at a lowly 240p. Would it be possible for you guys to upload a higher resolution version of this video?
I understand some now, Thanks Ade L.! just enjoyed a can & I was thinking, these are off. The cans I just bought are not packed in Norway. They were still ok but not like they usually are!!! I will look for the right ones next time.
The King-Oscar Brisling Sardines that I buy it says.. ' Packed in Poland'.. I know I bought another brand 'CrownPrince' Skinless & Boneless and it did not taste nearly as good as the King-Oscar, I think part of that was.. just it was skinless and boneless and had been processed more and seemed kinda "dry".. It was also packed in "C++Maroc" which I assume is Morocco... It doesn't say on the box where it's packed at at.. I had to go to their website to see where its packed. It is indeed Morocco. After watching the video of how its done their.. an old one.. eh... the QA seems really low. But it was an old vid..
Sunniva Poland packed are the only ones I have tried here in Thailand and they are still my favorite. I like the smaller ones and the price is much better than some of the French brands.
@@mjb-od6tr 1. you can’t tell from a picture 2. Originally, to sell a fish called or labeled “sardines” it was required to be herring only. Then the fishing industry persuaded ( paid off) congress to change the law so that any most SMALL fish could be legally sold as “ sardines” . To me and probably many others the. herring is the best tasting of the fish sold in cans and labeled as sardines. King Oscar brand in the red package is labeled in small print, herring and to those who like herring is what we ate as sardines 30 years ago.
Ok I'll share my secret. Batter and fry these little procreators and cover with cream sauce made from heavy cream, lime juice, garlic, and little salt. OMGoodness and technically supposed to use wood sorrel instead of lime juice but it only grows few months a year.
Whycome my ko sardines now say from morocco? I don't want maahslime fish. Did Norway go out of business or is it totally controlled by maahslimes like the rest of europe?
