M.I.R.O .....it has an inflatable floor only, I needed to keep to keep things light.....it works well, very easy to put in/take out and you can stand up on it no worries at all
Mate, I can't tell you just how much fun that was to watch, very informative, you display how easy and how long it takes to set up and set off; you are very organised as one needs to be in a small boat - well done!
I was weary about inflatable boats at first until I say your video. Pretty easy setup and no big maintenance costs of owning a real boat. I may get the same setup as you. Looks like a lot of fun..
Hey man I know I'm 3 years too late to respond but this video inspired me to get an inflatable dinghy and a 9.8 hp motor to get out there and fish. Thanks for the video! Hope you post more
That is great. Lovely quality of footage and editing. Rarely do we get to see the setup from the car etc, which is exactly what I was looking for, so thanks for taking the time to upload it.
I'm ordering an Intex Mariner with a 3.5hp in a week. can't wait. I can inflate and have on the roof of the Blazer, or deflated and in the trunk of the Ford Focus. Great video.
great video this is so amussing to watch, i must of watched this over 100 times this is the only video that has the setup of the boat from the car to onto the water great video!
Hey Nick. I've just bought a similar set up, and was looking for help and found it here. That's an excellent video my friend, very well done, informative and no chattering on and on with useless info that nobody's interested in. Top marks to you pal and tight lines.
Awesome ! And thanks for the warning about the tell tail, lucky it's easily rowed :) Its easily launched with an offshore breeze, the axle/wheels make light work of soft sand too. Must film that one day.
Yeh.saw your wheels in the background..those little flip down ones would be useless in the soft sand i think. I built an electric buggy for sand travel out of an old 12v kids monster truck that someone threw out. Big plastic wheels and waterproof gbox. Binned front half. Add 6cell hobby nicad pack (12v too fast) , 20a on off switch and worked a treat. Just need to modify for inflatable boat. Fyi. They say impellor housing rotates which blocks inlet/outlet. May now be fixed.
I own boats about 12 years ,mostly ribs ,now i have a 6 metre with a 150hp 2stroke. The simplicity of that little boat is everything a man needs to get to sea.... Big boats are a pain in the ass... with a big boat you need fuel money , maintenance money ,storage and washing labour ,a place to launch ,a big car to tow , several payperwork to fill in order to be legitimate... But with this kind of boat you are free to enjoy fishing and the sea.. Have fun!
I just got an 270cm inflatable boat, it says the pressure should be at 0.25 bar or 3.63 psi on tube and 0.35 bar on keel And when I pumped it up it read 0,21 but I couldn't pump any more with that included foot pump.
I’m sure it’s close enough but you should get an automatic pump as it makes things a lot easier and quicker .... therefore you’re more likely to do it more and enjoy it more ...👍
@@fishernick2447 thanks for response, I've checked the automatic pumps and they were a bit expensive so I'll look for used one, And I bought a 5hp honda outboard.
Good video! We also use high pressure pumps to inflate our boats on a daily basis, they're indispensable. Although, we should mention that we have destroyed a few inflating air floor boats at high altitudes, and on hot days. Keeping the pump cool and not exceeding the recommended time usage (~15 minutes) will prevent the plastic pistons from seizing up. We now use an extra pump to separately inflate the air floors.
Hi Nick, a colleague only told us of your vid/s today, I will have a look tonight at the rest. Glad you enjoy, I get out in mine too, nailed plenty of fish over Port Victoria way. As far as pressure goes, the tubes should be 25Kpa, 3.6 psi, but 35 Kpa is fine. The floor seems to work best at 55-60Kpa easily achieved with the inflation pump, but by hand its not easy, have found 45Kpa is achievable and still rides well. I wouldn't go under that if at all possible.
hello nick yes i thought the same for about the first 2 trips (thought it was a blow out valve) but no when you next go out let it run in 2nd gear you will see the difference your walls need to really hard to hit your floor and your keel being the softer of them all but even so still need to be fairly hard, buy a cheap pressure gauge that will fit on to a jack hammer pump that you will have laying around and get the correct pressure of each item of your boat from the maker, fill up most of your boat with the electric pump and finish off with the jack hammer pump to the correct pressure you will see what i mean and then from then on you can just gauge inflating the boat with just the electric pump hope this is a massive help to you it was to me :)
Nicely done mate! I’m thinking of selling my little fishing boat for an inflatable for the ease of it! This video might have pushed me to actually do it
great video, thanks for posting. It has inspired me to buy a small inflatable and get into it. The 9ft tender boat I have is pretty unsettling when the wind picks up so an inflatable it is. I have heard some negative feedback re Parsons engine so spent a little extra on a Tohatsu. Boat is an old Force 4 rib and will be roof mounted. Keep an eye on your cooling flow. I like the practicality of your setup and good to see the KGW coming on the bite. Happy man with a few that size on the plate. Trying to organise a rear removable seat and oars that will fit on the 10mm pin, then should be good to go. cheers
Hi, I have opted for an Island Inflatable too, running an electric outboard, perfect combo with my Camper trailer sharing the batteries etc. I am local in Adelaide too at Glenelg, launch from Glenelg North or Henley Beach. Cheers!
@@fishernick2447 , yes it cruises at about 7 kph. Easy too, no fuel! Thank you for the inspiration showing how easy it is to set up and pack away (minimal storage space).
Man I absolutely love your videos :D Subscribed and pushed the ring button. Got 330 boat on the way 2 running engines, and a 15 HP engine on the way.. I can't wait.. I love water, i love the life, i love the nature of it.
My 330 boat with 15hp was on the water yesterday... I have no car so i made an insane trolley setup for my scooter.. totally illegal, but where i live you see a cop one time in 10 years. The project was crazyyyy.. but i managed to get the boat on the water with my scooter.. if you wanna get a laugh go see my new video.. and by the way thank you for your video, it inspired me to hurry up and go boating.
Tolles Video, dass sehr gut das Fischen von einem Schlauchboot darstellt. Komme von der Nordseeseite, da ist es leider nicht möglich ohne das man weit heraus fährt, auf Makrele oder Dorsch zu angeln.
Well done, I just got a 9foot inflatable boat myself but ran into a nightmare trying to get the bill of sale and mso paper work from the seller. Bought from Ebay boat was shipped from my State but headquarters from China. DMV won't do anything until I get those paper work , this is crazy should've bought from a local store buyer beware of online purchases without paper work no motor cannot be added to your inflatable boat in some States.
Very cool video! Looking to buy a dinghy go start fishing again and this def has inspired me to do exactly what you did as this is a perfect setup. Can you link the boat, engine, etc in the description???
Yes the floor is supposed to be 85 kpa or 11 psi rock solid. Your boat will ride much better and it will put less stress on your motor fully inflated resulting in les fuel consumption and just much smoother ride. The tubes are 35 kpa. Dont be concerned in overinflating the floor trust me that wont happen there is a safty valve that will release air if there is ever more air than it is intended to handle. The only concern you should have once fully inflated is watch your hooks because they can punture the floor. What i do it I baugth floor mats that I lay ontop of my floor so i dont have to worry about hooks or fish making a hole on my floor i just have to worry about my tubes. Remeber to always carry the repair kit just incase of emergency. All make a video showing my set up soon.
As a greek surrounded by sea, i find your video interesting, you are very well organized, and you show respect for the environment, hope to see you fishing in greece, we have a lot and good fish here
Nice unit and gear How ever the boat I noticed were inflated too soft as the electric pump is good for inflating the mass of the boat but is not meant to be used for pressure as you would then swap over to a double action hand pump to do this this is why the boat as I am sure you would have known were wanting to fold or crease on acceleration which meant you were not able to utilize the full performance
hi nick you do realize that your boat is no were near inflated to its correct pressure (and will be creating a lot of drag and wear to your boat) the sound that your electric pump makes when it goes to a deeper pitch tone when your inflating the boat means it is going in to a lower gear to pump higher pressure to the boat (not to say thats it finished) hope this helps because the worst thing to do to an inflatable boat is under inflate it
hello i looking byu boat something like that ,but in the shop they said that like this type of boat its not safe to fishing in the see, they recomend me only rib
there will be so many different opinions..I found it fine and so many other do too, I guess it depends on how far to sea you go out and in what conditions
hi nick and a happy near year to you pal have you managed to beef up your boat with pressure at all since my comment because i would like to hear your comment it should/WILL your boat a whole new ballgame for stability and longevity for your boat
Great video thanks. I definitely want that pump. One where I don't have to hook cables up to my vehicle. What is the brand? Did you order from the inflatable boat company? Where did you purchase? Plus even more important is the stern wheels. Which is a must have for me to transport from my vehicle to the water once with outboard, and gear and I'm by myself using the boat. Do the wheels come with the boat, or an accessory you can order, or do you have to put on yourself by drilling into the stern. They look better than others I've seen on RU-vid. I'm in Toronto Ontario Canada. Thanks again
Thanks Brad ! The wheels attached to the stern are bought separately, you can buy online. They did not work very well unless I was on hard ground...even then it was unstable and I couldn’t pull the bow up high or the stern tips would drag on the ground. The wheels on the axle worked a treat...also bought online and come in all different sizes. The pump I bought when buying the boat.... Seamax portable air pump 12V 👍.......
Cool video. What size boat is that? I'm researching dinghy boats now.. to take my 15 year old daughter on fishing trips. My son is 2... so I'd like something big enough for all three of us when I'm comfortable that he's old enough to come along.
9 foot with a ten horse ,that thing must fly! I bought a 10 ft. With aluminum floorboards and inflatable keel. Run a 4 horse for the lake fishing... Great little boats
