Thanks. As for the carabiner, I use this one I found at Lowes that has a rope lock off built in to it. They are in the carabiner section at Lowes.

I've since ordered mine and excitedly awaiting delivery which will be a few weeks

I ordered one back in early August and received it 2 weeks later (and I live in Montreal, Canada) so no complaints whatsoever. I have to say I love my TT which I hacked in all sorts of ways to make it structurally more rigid and user friendly. I have tedshred8436 and several other RU-vidrs to thank for that as they got me thinking about modding my kayak. BTW, I took it out on a very large lake with lots of boat traffic, wind and choppy conditions and was extremely happy with how my TT handled. Much better than I expected.

Almost no wear and tear. The plastic they use is very durable. I imagine that the Oru's are also very durable. I have seen them up close and they seem pretty robust. (The Oru is a nicer boat the Tucktec is more utilitarian). You will easily get a year's worth out of either.

@@mkventures5259 they did upgrade the chair. They made some other changes as well. I wonder how they will be.

The material is like 6mm. The folds are the same material but have cut with a router to about 4-5mm.
