Shore fishing and fly fishing in Gabon with Tourette Fishing. Sette Cama is in southern Gabon on the border of Loango National Park. It offers exceptional fishing in a dramatic habitat. Fishing with a backdrop of forest elephant wading through the water and chimpanzee's calling from the forests is unforgettable. Incredible fishing for tarpon, threadfin, jack crevalle, cubera snapper and much more. Fly fishing is best done in the estuary where protected from the wind. Our best fishing came from looking for feeding schools of trevally smashing bait fish.
Shore fishing was all done with lure. With strong onshore wind flyfishing from the beach was not easy and most of the fish were beyond the average flyfisherman's reach. Most shore fishing was for threadfin and jack crevalle. Tarpon at this time of the year were not great and generally tarpon season starts late February and into March when there is a higher rainfall.
Between our fly fishing and lure fishing we landed 206 fish between 6 rods in 6 days.
