I used braid a few months ago and didn’t care for it , I’m thinking about giving it another try . I used the Albright knot. It was simple , thanks for these other ones

It’s not as slim as the FG Knot..! You can’t cast with the Alberto knot but you can with the FG …. If this guy knew to taper cut the mono and finish wrapped the tapered end,… you can cast it all day long with no hiccups and will not catch through the smallest of guides…! This guy has several channels doing the same knots over and over…. Look at his right thumb,.. there is a very small dark spot behind the thumb nail… this guy is quadruple collecting of more on the same shit…!
I really dislike all knots that end up having a fluoro tag end sticking out in the direction of casting. Once trimmed, that little piece poking out ends up being hard and catches on the eyelets - if you're casting gently it can completely ruin the cast.
I have used the Alberto knot for years and it has served me well but is it a little bulky. I playing with the FG knot and will try it next week on a 4 day charter.

I've multiple Q... Why do my braidline breaks from the wired leaderline when i cast the lure!?, what lbs is good for 30-40gms lure?! And does florocarbon leader should be lighter than the mainline?!
i think u want to pull on the fg after making 1 hitch after the weave the strength in the knot is the braid biting into the mono, not the hitches after
Good point maybe on spinning reel cause of the casting In a pinch I’ve done a triple surgical and it’s worked fine catching whites and strippers a double uni on the moving boat ol line to line Dacron knot works also
This line is very strong and stretches great when setting the hook or fighting and bringing in the big fish. For the value of the line which isn’t much this is the right line for you if you want to save money and catch fish.
For inshore spin fishing, I have never had a failure with a well cinched up 4 x through Surgeons loop. Never once. It must be said in lines 30 pound flouro to 30 pound braid and lighter... Paul v Reenen Originator of Unfair Lures.
