I've been looking for a knot to use ever since a King Mackerel bit off my 200 lbs fluorocarbon leader with my brand new lure. I'm looking forward to setting this knot up this weekend.

I'm going to try that. What lb. test is that leader material? It seems a lot like a haywire twist when using heavier wire. Thanks!

The are various brands but you want 7 strand wire. The 30 pound does fine for me even on sharks.

sean trejo I and other guides I know use it for King mackerel, large sharks, and other fish.
