Fishing Lake Russell In Scorching 95° Weather

It's HOT out here on Lake Russell, but I am always down for kayak bass fishing. I wanted to look for bluegill beds, fish standing timber, and try to have a good numbers count. I fished while the GA Bass was taking place, and I didn't measure any fish, but I easily had a limit worth had I competed. Not that it would have cashed, but I love getting five fish or more.

You haven't done Broadway Lake in a long time. If you go there if you can kayak all the way to the top of the lake where it starts. Just curious f you can catch anything in that area.

@@AndyExplores-hg3of I likely will go next week. I have been all over the lake, as far as I can go in both directions. It's prettier by the golf course, but the fishing is much better on the opposite where standing timber is found.

Thanks. I have been trying to find ways to make it look better and I like this along with maybe a color layer that makes it look like glass.

Man looking like Lake Russell is a good spot for you man. How far is the driver for you? Look like a big lake man. It was a good day if you was catching them like that on a hot 🥵 day like that man. It was awesome seeing you kayaking 🛶 barefooted 👣 & in your flip flops 🩴 man. Your flip flops 🩴 look cool on you man. I know your feet 🦶 cool than having them in some shoe. I worn my close toes winter sandals I got for the winter time like 2 weeks ago & boy did my feet 🦶get really really sweat in them really bad. Boy when I got barefooted 👣 did my feet 🦶really thanks me for that. But now I am sitting at home with a Cracked foot so. I happy Father's day to you brother if I don't send you a message man. I can't remember if I did. My whole entire family took me out kayak camping 🏕 trip me & my lil brother Tim & I had a blast with I cracked foot man. I have to go more. I always have such a great time. It's about half an hour so no bad. It's pretty big. Jocassee runs into Keowee, Keowee Runs into Hartwell, Hartwell into Russell, Russell to Thumornd, and so on until it reaches the the savannah river. It's an amazing chain of lakes. I have been going barefoot most of the time here lately. It's just so hot that less is better.

A lot of times yes. I do branch out, but only a couple of times per month. I have been all over through.

I have seen glass on the ground, but nothing has happened to me yet. I half expect something to be broken out every time I visit Russell because of horror stories I have heard.

I go camp at Calhoun Falls often and fish around there and it’s good fishing, but I was trying to find some boat ramps to check out. I’m loving the flooded timber, so all the boat ramps around that area or just Russell and General?

@@slickmouf879 Oh yeah. Anywhere other than the two ramps by the ramp will have pockets and creeks with them. I remember the talk of the registration. Hope that went smoothly for you. I need to film the ramps of Russell. Those are always a big question mark for a lot of people.
