That first fish you got....I fished the Miss Cape Canaveral headboat back in the 80's every weekend and we caught them and called them Charlie Browns. Have no idea why, but that's what they called them on that boat back in the day. Squirrel fish to us were an all red large eyed small snapper looking thing, body like a beeliner but with larger eyes. Times change, fish names change. Ha!
thank you for this video. I am currently living in San Diego for the past 20 years and I have plans to move to FL, Tampa in particular. RU-vid is great for researching what species of fish I will be targeting soon. Its a learning experience to fish in a new area for sure! I've been fishing my entire life, 2-4 times a week. I've got San Diego pretty dialed in for both fresh and salt water. I hear Florida is the "fishing capitol of the world". I'm excited to be apart of the FL fishing community!
Did you go to Delcos for cheesesteaks? They’re the best. A Dunedin favorite and I know Brent likes to fish that area. We’re always fishing the same spots.
That first fish is what we call a squirrel fish. Great if you keep em for dead bait. Keep them whole, cut the sides to fan them out and hold on for some big groupers
Hey bro since ur in tampa I'll take u out on my 13' gheenoe to weedon island to catch some monsters let's ride lmk justin ...I even bought my gheenoe bc of ur channel
Y’all should’ve called me. I would’ve met you out there. Two of my favorite in my backyard. Thanks for visiting my area. I went out yesterday and using live shrimp and had a ball with a buddy from high school. Look him up Lowe Tide Fishing charters. He will put you on some fish in this area.
