Dam I miss Melbourne. Used to live in south Melbourne whilst traveling. Nostalgic seeing videos like this ❤ dropped you a sub. Used to love the big yellas in the lake .
That bust up was probably your school of salmon being harassed by a larger salmon or shark. They can happen as a single pass through or, multiple times, as schools of fish graze on the small ones. Once off, likely a small shark. Although could also be a big bream or anything else. But, you did not imagine it lol
Currently using the Shimano sustain 2500 it’s not the new model it’s the last generation I think 2018 I could be wrong. Great reel it’s lasted me around 3 or 4 years with me bashing it around hahaha.
Bro i have been there before im 12 and im going to be honest, i just saw your channel but i was wondering if u could tell me where ur going next time so i can meet you
Hey Lachlan, I’m not really sure when I’ll be going fishing haha. Most of my trips are super last minute lol. Next month I won’t be able to fish due to religious reasons. But I quite regularly fish Sandringham, Patterson river or Karkarook so maybe one day I’ll run into you.
Thanks for the reply dude! I hope we can meet up someday, my favourite fishing spot is actually at patterson river and i have a little secret spot i can show you aswell 😁
Love the Patterson river I used to fish it when I was little haha. It’ll always have a special place in my heart. I think I fished it atleast 30 times before finally catching anything. 🤣 hope to run into you sometime.
@@gamerweener5192 I don't mind sharing spots like those but I am guilty of not sharing some spots for example sometimes I fish small estate ponds that are super close to some houses I don't share those spots because I do want to respect the residents.
Good to see you out Singh. Looks like a lovely day! Polaroids are essential fishing tools.. Not only do they assist with finding fish and structure and snags, they protect your eyes from the glare off the water.I wear my constantly. Thankyou for mentioning them. 🤣 Your netting skills are superior, my friend! Lift fish from water, drop into hole, get net, lift from hole, place into net. I will take notes and try to learn. Looks like a blast. Spotting fish is as exciting as catching them lol.
100% agree with you there’s been so many times I was able to spot fish with the sunglasses and it’s really helped with hooking up more often. I do reckon the bust ups were salmon or something.
@@nicholasn9745 There is Redfin pretty much everywhere in suburban waterways even in all of Dandenong creek some spots are better than others I know near the golf courses there’s a better population of Redfin there.
Have you tried lure fishing there at night? I go past there on the way home from my night shift and have been trying multiple nights for 30 mins without any hits yet, wondering if they just dont go for lures at dark. I could feel the excitement when you were casting into that school. Love that feeling of seeing, casting and getting a hit immediately. Keep it up subbed
Hey Andrea I have fish there at night with lures they sure do bite when the sun goes down. Can’t remember if they have lights there try something with a bit of a vibration or a black plastic that’ll stand out in the light. Also something that glows might also help.
