There’s a couple herons in our yard that gawks at our Australian shepherd. They stare at each other like “ I SEE YOU”then they go separate ways. They’re kind of friends respectfully. So cute.

Those Lizard fish remind me of the Greater weaver, that we have over here: being abundant, burying them selves in the sand, biting on anything and have similar looks. Differences being, the Weavers having poisonous spikes and being delicious.

I grew up fishing Mobile Bay and used to catch needlefish all the time as a child, Ive still seen them as I grew up and became an adult but haven't caught very many !! Its the same with white trout !!

You always have the tight lines, young brother. Blessings and thanks for showing us some different stuff. Those needlefish are crazy looking. Years ago, before 'stingray city' was as big a tourist attraction as it is now in Grand Cayman, we were feeding and interacting with the stingrays and there were some big houndfish, a large member of the Belonidae. Biggest needlefish I've ever seen, ~3 feet long. I threw a chicken drum bone (we were feeding the stingrays chicken carcass remnants) and one swallowed it. Kind of made me wonder if it was able to digest it. Pretty cool experience with the stingrays. They were totally mellow.

Love the content, Stephen. We live in the area and recently got back into offshore/nearshore fishing after we bought our boat. Myself and my son have learned an incredible amount from you and your content. Really appreciate the style of your videos and delivery. I have to say, not sure when this video was made, but we were headed back in Sunday and trolled from the bridge towards the ramp around 4:15pm and hooked up 3x (3 different passes) on some monster bull reds just west of bird island. Lost all 3 as I did not have the appropriate gear. Got the 3rd one to the boat before he broke off. He was a pumpkin! Would love to run into you one day. Thanks again! 🤙🏽

It’s funny when you mention tiny crank baits,too. To me, tiny crank baits are like maybe an inch long. (Super hard to throw more than a few yards)! Love your channel. Bless you and your family!

I was jigging a small metal jig (1/2 oz.) when I hooked a bluefish and when I was trying to unhook him he started flopping around and drove two of the treble hooks into my left hand. Ripping those things out of my hand was kind of painful but the bluefish got freed!

Just adjust the rod/lure weight the to lure/bait you're throwing and size fish you're intending to catch! Really simple !! Good luck and tight lines.

Good content as always. I would really like to see if possible and it’s appealing to you, updates on the construction and progress on the Pier once it gets into full swing. My understanding is they are expecting a 6 month minimum closure time frame for the rebuild? If you have the time and find it would be good content for the channel, I know I’d like to see how things are going and looking and what to expect next summer/fall on the Pier. Thanks Brother!
