Fishing my Favourite River in New Zealand

In early January I visit one of my most favourite rivers in the remote backcountry of New Zealand. This video is the first on my channel that has been filmed on my new camera setup with an external microphone for better sound quality. Beauty shots of fish cruising the tails of the pools, I don't think I've seen such definition and clarity before. The new camera was worth it, thanks for sharing.

Nice filming👍 & some great inspiration for this homesick kiwi! I think I can guess the watershed… Classic N.I backcountry rainbows👌… I used to love the Ruahines & Kawekas but haven’t done too much over where you were though😏. Tight lines!

Great first fish mate and such a stunning spot. We just spent 2 days filming what I believe is lower down from where you were in the gorge. Was tough though with a lot of holiday fisherman on the main river. Did ok in the tributary though. Will be back some time this summer. Such a stunning area.
