good video as always, i would recommend people watch tutorial video's before going somewhere you have never been, this lake is not a money spinner but is a good step up from lone star lake, i started catching after changing my bait from med cutbait to large minnows.
I went to Alberta caught some good Pike. Then I messed up I went for trout, my line keep braking as I had changed rods. I didn't buy the advanced licence and wanted to night fish so I couldn't go back in time so that was the end for me. Over $10,000 gone. Expensive lesson there
What kind of pole and reel are you using? I'm trying to put 4lb and 6lb test line on and fish with small minnows but it keeps saying the line is too strong for the reel or saying the pole may get damaged. Not sure what the difference is with all the reel types like spin, casting, etc.
Hey, great video series! There's lots of useful information contained in this little video. One question: Is there a specific reason you didn't mention Bass Jigs when naming the different types of lures? I had some left over from when I first played (back at release) and used those near the reeds and was catching anywhere between 1.2-2lb largemouth bass.
can you do a guide for those with the char charger pack, new to the game just got lvl 7 got the pack based on the video, lol but am not sure what rods or reels to use with either or, also when i use any of my tackle it tells me its too light
Fish it with small minnows at about 70 inches deep. About 40 to 50 ft off the bank. You will catch bass, catfish and pike. Easiest way I've found to catch a bunch of different fish with 1 bait. And you'll catch a lot of fish!
it would make ALOT of fishers HAPPY if you would cover what rods and reels to pair with (use) I have wasted thousands of $ trying to find a working rod/reel combo :(
I hate how the inventory is set up.. its soo complicated.. I like it and played it for a few days but I ran out of money and had no line or rod to fish because I accidentally unequipped it and Idk how to equip it again.. so I raged quit and uninstalled it :(
FYI lonestar lake the beginning lake is more productive on average and its free. More than that mudwater is really boring some times back to back sometimes ill literally wait 45 minutes and only get one bullhead on 3 rods. mudwater overall is just so unreliable and the payouts even if it was more productive arent as good as lonestar. 60$ for one 3.5lb drum vs 60$ for 1 lb shellcracker on worms
i use stop and go all the time and catch loads of fish using that method, i also hate mudwater river as you don't make much money, i have been fishing here for the missions.
I mean if you do it right you can make loads of money, just try to avoid catching/keeping catfish and bowfin. If you stay there for 3+ days then go ahead and keep them since you will make your money back, just dont go fishing for them.
Nice vid, but your retrieval techniques were pretty bad. For the twitch it is the opposite of what you said. Set speed to 1 or 2. Hold left button, quick click right button every half second or so. Perfect 3 dot twitching every time.
Honnestly.... mentionning shiners... even just for the fact that it's not to a "beginner" level is somewhat weird... (even if you mention that it's way higher in levels) Now, that beeing said... the fact they could "maybe" (even if it's less likely those days) comeback here and try shiners... lead us to the next part... You do realize that you have a PREMIUM... and all your fish earnings get a 50% income increase ??? You do realize that a shiner cost.. 65 credits A PIECE ??? You do realize that EVEN with premium... on your trophy black bullhead you make a LOSS, so not even talk on regular ones.... On your second stint with a 40 credits fish revenue, again WITH PREMIUM... nets you a loss of 25 credits... A small minnow is 30 credits... so a beginner with that and no premium will not even make an income on a 40 credit fish of yours... On your bowfin, even with a small minnow the bait cost is nearely a half of the fish earning without premium... Basically 3 pices of bread (at an amazing cost of.... 0.2 credits a piece) and 3 panfish cought very quickly will waste less time and make the same earnings.... Yeah I know it's not sexy... but it's the game reality... But it's not fair to present "how to catch xyz" to beginners and lead them in a path that may be very unforgiving... without stating "that fish though don't really worth that effort and costs" Let's not even talk about the fact they may get "bait was eaten or lost"... pushing them further into the hole... while thinking : "what's happening... I'm doing what has been shown to me...." because... yeah they are beginners and probably won't even use a calculator... (did you at lvl36 ???) But it may get insidious because they may still fish some casting rods... and make back their lost credits... but not really making incomes... So please when doing a beginner guide... try to take those lake levels revenues and adapt your bait costs to what the lake will give you... And know your bait price per piece... that way you may realize... and take really into account the fact you DO have a premium... I have no issues using expansive baits on fishes that very well cover the costs of them... but I have issues using a bait that can cut to major part of your regular fishing... it's very different to aim at trophies and uniques, and use a bait to make credits... What get you out of the hole in your video in NY is that whatever you do in NY, a single walleye will do you so much for your incomes... but again that lake can be fished so efficiently with a narrow spoon... Sorry to be harsh on that one... but that map is shitty enough on itself not to do that to new players. The game is somewhat harsh enough on new players... no need to help them dig the hole...
Think you missed the part where I told people not to fish here - worst place to fish at for exp or money but I still feel its necessary to show people how to fish in these places so they don't repeat the same mistakes I did:)
Haileene Dark if you had watched any of his videos you would have know that on MULTIPLE occasions he had said that it's not s good place to fish. Especially for new players.
Got Yer Back Gaming the op didn't say you suggested it here simply that if you're going to make a begginer guide atleast make a good one because the op is correct on really all of her(?) points minnows are a horrible choice there aswell as shiners if the bait is more expensive than the game fish then it's a waste and nothing more
This was confusing for me. You did say don't go here, but then gave advise for it that took me a while to figure out I couldn't even use. You said buy small minnows, but that is level 7. So what should beginners do then? Maybe I'm slow, but I was taking your advise to not buy items at the lake. I was traveling back home to buy bait. DOHHH! I looked up and was down thousands. Ok I'm a slow learner, but now I need to know how to not go broke.
@@liamgardner6033 the fish don't give a lot of money, it costs $3,300 just to travel here so you need to be catching consistently to justifie the cost of the trip, i think that's what JACK KELLY meant.
