I found a boat trick yesterday by accident. If you are turning your boat, and you hop off the wheel to watch poles, your boat will continue to turn. You can keep circling and your speed will be lower. When I did it at max trolling percentage with a full turn, my boat stayed at 2knots. Might be a good trick for reeling in big fish, they seemed to come in much quicker while the boat was circling
For anyone having trouble, you need East wind. in a nutshell, the wind blows the food toward the shoal (underwater ridge). That's the key to finding mahi mahi. For this area you want wind between North and East.
It works very well KP, thank you. I found today you can also troll backwards in reverse gear. The speed is 3 knots and you don’t have to turn around your boat if you plan to go back and forth. The lines go through the boat so it doesn’t matter which way you go.
The goat of fishing planet 🐐 love the videos I'm level 69 and plan to buy the dlc for 60 days it should give me enough time to grind for lvl 83 but some people say Congo is better than ocean for xp.
Congo is better for xp but I’m pretty sure they’ll make changes to the amount of XP earned for fish in Kaiji No Ri or Congo once the console release is out.
@@Original-q11 yes your right. I didn’t think the ocean map would not be good for XP grind u was assuming new map and more XP. Congo def still king for XP grind and level up 👍🏻
Very useful video, thank you. I tried to see what other fish could be found here, and it's full of unique and trophy tuna - you can't go more than a minute or two without catching something huge. Caught my biggest fish (245kg Bluefin tuna) in this area.
Kp are you sure that this method is still working? I just trolled the whole route without a single bite. Using the exact same setup as you but with a stronger rod from the Dlc, premium 50g 5/0 bucktail trolling at 1% at the same time as you but zero fish.
@@dannywilson2446if youre still having trouble i caught a uni mahi on a 6/0 plug w a pink squid chain although color shouldnt matter. Find the day with the two peaks esrly morning and evening. Fast forward to about 6pm and troll where you find tuna
Hello KP, need help, have a mission "Kaji No Ri Hunt: Squid Chain" (Equip Squid Chain with Trolling Octopus, Catch Mahi-Mahi 35 kg+) How to complete this mission? Coordinates and what day? Fish biting schedule? Very difficult mission...
1 dag en update voor console is er.. Ik ga de duurste dlc pakken. Nu een vraagje ivm gear, heb je enkel zee materiaal mee? Welke gear zou ik in huisinventaris steken?
You can bring pretty much everything you want. The tackle cart with the dlc has room for 300 lures, 25 lines, and 150 groundbaits. Bring spawn sacks if you plan on doing the missions. They'll make the first one a lot easier. And a lot of the fish will go after crankbaits. Bring a couple smaller rods (2-10lb) for stuff like anchovies and jack mackerel.
@@lukassolvang3939 If you do the Tablet map upgrade that will show you but you go leave the dock and head South starting from the small island at -1750,26.00 and head South to -1838.36, -1194.30 and keep going back and forth should net you all the Mahi-Mahi you need using the Trolling Octopus and speed at 8%/6 knots...goodluck
