Thanks Captain Josh! I have a pair of Danco 7.5 and love them. 45 dollars these days doesn’t go far so to have a pair of pliers that have lasted. I hope to see you or Captain Chris this October.
🌴 hey bud, yea when it comes to pliers it’s hellow Wally World , tsunami or whatever is on sale , I usually look at 1- what are they made of stainless steel?, aircraft aluminum, 2 build quality? How well do parts fit for tolerance do edges match are the cutters meeting together ,usually aluminum pliers have cutters with replaceable blades that can be taken out to be sharpened a bit , and 3 cost what kind of bang for the buck, for the every day fisherman, the guy or gal that fish’s every so often Go cheap ,but take care of the pliers wash em off get the salt and blood off um , for some body that fish’s twice to three days make the investment quality is always better and again take care of the tool and it takes care of you , I preference pliers with longer noses that can reach down inside for deeper extraction, but I also use a pair of large forceps ( $1 buck )that I got at a flea market , and nail clippers for cutting line , usually good to qualify pliers also have holsters which make it convenient when you need um 😄( Chris where’s the pliers !) 🫲🏼😳🫱🏼
