In this adventure, I am fishing the Guadalupe River fishing for the Texas Rainbow Trout. Texas Rainbow Trout fishing is one of the most challenging forms of fishing in the Lone Star State has to offer and one of the most exciting as well. Even though rainbow trout are not native to Texas, the Guadalupe River attracts anglers from all around the state.
The small rainbow trout are the state-stocked rainbow trout while the bigger ones are the trout stocked by the Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited. If you enjoy fishing for Texas Rainbow Trout, please consider donating to Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited (GRTU), practicing catch and release, removing the barb off of your hooks, and using single hooks to preserve this amazing and unique fishery. Go buy your rainbow trout from H-E-B (I am not sponsored by H-E-B but I would love to be) and let these fish stay in the Guadalupe River so hopefully one day we can see a new state record caught and released. I remove the barbs from my hook and practice catch and release.
