I first heard of this unbelievable secluded mountain lake about a year ago, with trophy fish specimens that transcend ANYTHING we've ever seen in the sport. I hit the water with Joey the MF'er and Coleslaw with a legitimate chance to land a World Record Bass.

That was very cool on all accounts , the drone , fishing , commentary , camera work , Cole on camera catching a fish for a change and it looked really peaceful there .

Awesome video as usual. btw those are Bull Trout, they are genetically different from Dolly Varden trout which are native to sea run streams and rivers.

I grew up a few hours away from there. Beautiful country. I live further south now but definitely want to get back up there for some fishing. Love the fishing content in this video but just seeing the scenery was amazing for me.

That Dolly Varden was HUGE compared to the ones I used to catch when I was stationed on Adak Island up in Alaska. Pretty fish and fun to catch. Not a great reputation. They are known for raiding the beds and feeding on eggs of other trout species.

You're up in my neck of the woods. Thats my all time favorite lake to fish!!! I caught a 9lb 4oz smalley there a couple years ago. Cant wait for the tournament this year. Great fishing though and hope you had a blast. If you want to hit a few more good lakes around there sometime hit me up.

I know this lake pretty well. Pretty much spent my high school days wakeboarding and fishing this lake. We used to call it Mountain Dew Lake. Probably one of the most beautiful lakes in the state.

I know where thats at and like others have said it's a tough lake to figure out. It does have monster small mouths but I personally ain't catch much the few times I tried fishing the lake.

Would never say where u are bud,but i know! In about 1988-89 my grandpa and i went with a old timer that lived close to the lake.we caught instantly huge dolly's, rainbows and last day caught 4 or 5 lake trout that were over 25lbs.we caught a few huge smallies while trout fishing. They were in like friggin 200ft of water.killer lake though!

A few yrs ago I went with a buddy after ice out for smallmouth. My buddy snagged a dead deer with a tube but it wasn't as decomposed. Still stunk tho.....idk why he didn't just cut his line lol

That was one of the first lakes i ever fished growing up, great camping off the beaches in the summertime too. Unfortunately i'm out of state now. Please go back there or other lakes in that area, it's great seeing bass content from that area and not just Texas all the time.

Why don’t you go to castaic lake in California. There’s been like a 3 dozen lmbs over 20 lbs caught there. And by the way you didn’t hide the location very well when u said NorCal. I won’t say what lake your on though lol
