I live in Charleston and my 1st Cousin married Bill Bailish, the gentleman that owned and operated The Olde Pink House in Savannah. They make a similar dish with apricot chutney that is out of this world delicious. Enjoyed the vid!
That was a great video Dan! Really enjoyed the cook portion! As for the Red Fish population, I have caught more Rat Reds this year than ever. Yesterday I caught 8 Reds (12 to 14) inch in 9 cast on artificial, with a total of over 30 in just a few hours! Also caught two over 20! So can’t wait for them to grow! 99% of all fish we catch are released👍 Enjoy cleaning that big boat! Miss the little one yet😬😂
Awesome tip on slicing the fish in squares. Great idea. I’m definitely going to be trying this out next time I get a chance to go fishing. Thanks for sharing your recipe and ideas. Blessings 🇺🇸
Another great video Dan! One thing for beach/marsh fishing with soft sand. I made a few Wade Fishing rod holders for that from traditional 1.5" diameter thin-wall PVC tubing. After cutting a 45 in one end for the sand spoke with the chop saw you can drill a hole near the top and bottom and string a long loop of nylon cordage through the inside/outside via the holes. When hoofing it to a remote fishing spot, you can put them over your shoulder like an old school long bow. Doesn't require any hands to transport them when on foot and when you get to your spot you have a secure third hand and a camera mount point to boot.
@@LowCountryFishing Just make sure the bottom hole for the cordage is about 12" or so up from the 45 degree bottom cut so it can be pushed into the sand w/o the cordage going into the sand.
One of my favorite videos of yours I’ve seen. Cool to see something a little different and enjoyed the cooking aspect without it seeming all staged and RU-vidy (you know what I mean)
Dan my friend love the video! Like the catch clean and cook. Remides me of fishing the Little Tybee back in the late 90s. Are the shrimp getting big yet? Thanks again for the great video.
Thanks for the catch, clean and cook and great to hear the redfish appear to be thriving. You mentioned bull reds coming in 2 months or so….not sure when you shot this so guessing end of September or early October?

Could you clean the flounder the same way and grill it? I like to camp at Little Tybee on a kayak. Is there any good spots over there for Redfish that are good eating and some Flounder?
Absolutely it grill great the same way. Guy be careful flipping it. Yeah he meat is delicate when it’s scored. Little Tybee is loaded with flounder and reds right now. Fish the mouths of every small creek entrance and you are bound to find something to eat 😉
@@LowCountryFishing Can't do it, in VA they have to be 16". But I'm from Florida and I used to let them go under 15 or 16". I let lots of fish go even if they're legal. But not flounder. I take the keepers home but they're decent sized here.
