No Tournaments for a few weeks so we get the chance to go and commit to tossing the big baits. Fishing the KGB TSG 9 and the Hawg Hunter Magnum Trout. Looking for just 1 bite and hopefully putting it in the boat
Mr. Damien . . . Nice "quickie" vid 👍! Look forward to going back down "Memory Lane" when we see that 8.42 lber in your new Big Fish Compilation video. Again, really appreciate you sharing with us your gear setup and techniques; very much appreciated.
What rod and reel are you using? Less interested in brand and more so the power, length and gear ratio. Nice fish! I’ve recently bought a couple of larger glide baits and swim baits that I want to try throwing this year
Both have their time and place. I like the HUD for when I’m dragging the bottom since the bait is more nose heavy. I prefer the Hawg Hunter when I’m swimming high in the water column. It swims more natural and isn’t nose heavy so when you stop the bait it doesn’t nose dive down to the bottom. Plus the it’s more realistic, much slimmer than a hud. I’ve had big fish follow the hawg hunter to the boat and side eye it before choking it. Never had that happen with the hud.
