Fishing with straws at apache pier 

I fished Apache pier this past week and fished beside Capt. Cook. He let kids use his rod and showed them how to jig. These kids were all smiles and the look on their faces catching fish was priceless. Getting these boys and girls hooked on fishing is what he's all about. Thanks to Apache Pier and Capt. Cook for a great day of fishing.

Capitan cook has let me use this Rob and I can say it worked it caught a 16 inch Spanish mackerel and multiple ribbonfish, awesome rig!!

Sir, If I'm not mistaken, I think I remember you from September 2004 on Apache Pier. I just started youtube and you showed me how to catch spot with little pieces of bloodworm fishbites. Love your videos.

I hope you will be there this year, I would love to meet you! I love this lesson, I make my own mackerel trees using glitter flies I tie myself. I live in Maine and the mackerel and harbor pollock love my flies. I can't wait to see how the fish there like them!

My FAVORITE thing to do at Apache pier! Also, I bought my favorite rod rocker from some of the local fisherman for using my jigging rigs. Frank didn’t mention it, but if they’re running, often you can bring up 2 and 3 Spanish at a time!

Does it matter if the hooks is gold or not. Hard to find them 4/0 in gold or 3/0
