I fished Apache pier this past week and fished beside Capt. Cook. He let kids use his rod and showed them how to jig. These kids were all smiles and the look on their faces catching fish was priceless. Getting these boys and girls hooked on fishing is what he's all about. Thanks to Apache Pier and Capt. Cook for a great day of fishing.
Thank you Frank for your tips 2 days ago, we had so much fun catching so many fishes with your techniques ,keep on the good work and hope you keep posting more fishing or tip videos, God bless u and ur family, have a wonderful day
Capt. Frank thank you for showing us this rig. I'm new to finishing and today I bought all the supplies to make my own. Do you have other rigs you won't mind sharing for using in the pier. Again thank you for video.
Sir, If I'm not mistaken, I think I remember you from September 2004 on Apache Pier. I just started youtube and you showed me how to catch spot with little pieces of bloodworm fishbites. Love your videos.
I hope you will be there this year, I would love to meet you! I love this lesson, I make my own mackerel trees using glitter flies I tie myself. I live in Maine and the mackerel and harbor pollock love my flies. I can't wait to see how the fish there like them!
This is the most thorough and best demo on how to rig a mackerel tree that I have ever seen! Thank you very much for posting this! Does this rig catch other fish beside mackerels? Where can I get that swivel that you placed on the top of the pier's railing? Thanks!
Great meeting you at Apache Pier today 👍I used your method to catch Spanish Mackerel and Blue Fish with no knot or function failures. Thanks Capt. Frank!
My FAVORITE thing to do at Apache pier! Also, I bought my favorite rod rocker from some of the local fisherman for using my jigging rigs. Frank didn’t mention it, but if they’re running, often you can bring up 2 and 3 Spanish at a time!
Did you ever find the hooks? I went to our tackle store (inland ) and they only had size 4, not size 4/0. They had 4/0 in Mustad O’Shaughnessy but they are rather large and a coffee stirrer wouldn’t come close to fitting in one, and I just bought 1000 stirrers. 🤨
Hi I’m the kid that was at the pier and you were there on June 5 th or 6 th and you and my dad josh were talking my sister was there and my mom and my little brother and you showed usyour RU-vid channel and told us about the straw fishing I think it’s really cool you should post more about it and other places if you like if you get at least 1000 subscribers then you could actually make money off of this so hope your fishing goes well see you later
@@CigarSherpaCigarReview they are on eBay for 49.90 + shipping. You can buy them at the tackle store right at Apache pier for $59 and one of these rugs for $7 with a weight
@@frankcook9669 Are all the parts available to just assemble one? It seems like there are some very specific parts that you wouldn’t find just anywhere but I’m just guessing.
@@dwaynesmith5556 thank you I just moved to the area and I love to see him when I came on vacation I would see him every day at the pier I didn't like the beach but I like to watch people fish
