Thanks for the info, just fished Willows today at the opposite end of the lake that you fished, peg 4 (to try to find a sheltered spot), fished a yard off the reeds in the corner, fed a few 4mm constantly with 6mm on the hook. Float dotted down as you suggested. 3 hours and 20+ fish. Took a while to get them going and you were spot on that there are fish up in the water. Thanks for the tips. Cheers Eej
Thanks for another great video mate, always a pleasure to watch. I’m not an all year round fisherman but your videos make me want to shake the dust of my tackle early this year.
What a mighty fisherman you are.alan . Like you I use a lot of jamie Hughes ideas and what a difference it's made. Love the videos mate hope to see you one day at a venue . Cheers
Well done Alan on another good video think your right about pellets coming in to there own although we are going to get a few cold days and minus degree's at night so it will slow sport down I would imagine.
Great as always Alan, very informative and educational. Thought Hedley could have edited the bit where the wind really got up close and personal but it made me laugh, I think he left it in for a 'wind' up lol. all the best for your up and coming matches Nosh, good luck.
Another interesting video. I think the decision not to go shallow was a good one. As you were fishing only 3ft deep there was really no point in going shallow. May be in a few weeks time. Would have been a interesting idea to see if you could have tried to feed them a bit closer to see if it would make the catch rate any better. Good fishing Alan. Keep them coming.
One day, at some point in the future, I am volunteering to be on float-cam duty, just for fun and in my dreams. Nice to hear the Canada Geese in the background this time of year, another entertaining video, thanks for uploading lads.
Hello Alan. Could I ask a question which may seem daft to you, but here goes. I'm only a recreational angler, fish only 1 venue and tend to fish the waggler and slow sinker with hard pellets all through the year. The question is why are the bites which people tend to get when fishing the pole so timid yet when fishing a waggler they tend to fly off at warp speed, so fast that I tend not to stare at the float but wait for the line to tighten. Having being fishing today 3rd April and fishing no deeper than a yard deep, 8 of the 11 fish I caught tore off at a right lick. Water depth goes down to around 15 feet deep. The venue catches a lot of wind and fishes better for it. In February it fished it's head off on the slow sinker but now it's all on the wag for me, most people tend to fish the feeder at this time of year. Any thoughts please.
Hi Malc with the pole the shotting is very light so you will see every indication but the fish can blow the bait back out but with the waggler you need weight to cast out so when the fish sucks on that bait the resistance will self hook the fish on a lot of occasions. I’m sure you will have seen the float dip slightly but waited for the float to shoot under and line pull tight fact is you have already missed a bite. That’s the most simple way I can put it but there are other reasons too. Nosh 👍😀🎣🐒
That’s a question we would all like to know every time we fish what do the fish really want. But that session was specifically a hard pellet session. Nosh 👍😀🎣🐒
Fished the strip yesterday was shocking it was even 4 others fishing match on there said it was worse pond they ad fished for a long time ..I might go hayfield monday or Tuesday there was big event on there yesterday
Seems the fish were playing hard to get that day. I suppose having seen it all before, they use a bit more caution. A rare clip grabbed my attention, a plane climbing out of the local airfield. (Loved aviation since I was tiny). I was going to to to the bank during the week. No point really, still skint....LOL Another thoroughly enjoyable video. Is Mr.Incredible off the scene permanently? or is he coming back soon? I kind of get used to having characters being around, an he was one of those frequently mentioned with something funny. Either way, keep up the good work my friend. TTFN
Nice one again Alan you said that your oil on your pellets which type do you use and hope you have a good season with the "old boys" right lines 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🎣🎣
